Genshin Impact is getting an anime and it comes as no surprise that one of the most popular live-service games ever made is getting an animated series. Genshin fans have been asking for an anime ever since the game’s release and we have already seen competing gacha games like Fate: Grand Order and Arknights receive anime adaptations. If you are excited for the Genshin Impact anime, here is everything we know so far.
Who is producing the Genshin Impact anime?
The upcoming Genshin Impact anime is being produced by Ufotable. We have seen Ufotable work with franchises like Fate, God Eater, Demon Slayer and more. The studio is known for its high-quality animations and its attention to detail is unmatched by most studios in the anime industry.
What is the Genshin Impact anime about?
Going by what we have seen in the trailer the anime is likely to follow the journey of Aether/Lumine. With the location shown in the trailer resembling Monstadt, Hoyoverse might be planning to give us a recap of our journey in Teyvat so far through the anime.
Players experienced Monstadt and Liyue during their first year and the anime might follow the same chronological order when showcasing our adventures via the anime. There is very little known about the anime so far and we can only speculate with the little information that we have.
Genshin Impact anime release date
There is no official release date for the anime just yet. With the next anniversary scheduled to occur later this year, we can expect more official information soon. Genshin Impacts’s anniversary is on 28th September and we should get a livestream with details about future content and the anime sometime in early September.
