Genshin Impact 4.5 Weapons Overview: New 5-Star Sword and 4-Star Polearm

The Genshin Impact 4.5 Special Program was recently held and players got a sneak peek at the content coming to the game in Version 4.5 including new features, characters, weapons, events, and more. The announcements included the reveal of two new weapons that will be joining the game’s arsenal in the upcoming patch. Here's a closer look at these new weapons and what they have to offer.
New Weapons in Genshin Impact 4.5
Dialogues of the Desert Sages (4-star Polearm)
This new polearm will be obtainable from the main event in version 4.5, Alchemical Ascension. By completing tasks in this event, players can acquire Dialogues of the Desert Sages and increase its refinement to level 5.
Substat: HP%
Effect: When the wielder performs healing, restore 8 Energy. This effect can be triggered once every 10 seconds and can occur even when the character is not on the field.
Currently, Yaoyao is the only polearm character that provides healing and can make full use of this event weapon.
Uraku Misugiri (5-star Sword)
Uraku Misugiri is the signature weapon for Chiori, the new 5-star Geo character debuting in the upcoming banners of version 4.5. The only way to obtain this will be through the Limited Weapon Banner which will run alongside Chiori's banner. While the developers have not released official information yet, leaks have provided some details about this weapon:
Substat: Crit DMG%
Effect: Normal Attack DMG is increased by 16% and Elemental Skill DMG is increased by 24%. After a nearby active character deals Geo DMG, these effects increase by 100% for 15 seconds. Additionally, the wielder's DEF is increased by 20%.
Uraku Misugiri has a combination of offensive and defensive capabilities, making it a versatile choice for various characters, notably Albedo. Its ability to enhance both normal and elemental skill damage could benefit Albedo well but we’ll have to wait for its release to know for sure.
Uraku Misugiri and Dialogues of the Desert Sages are promising additions to Genshin Impact's arsenal of weapons. Uraku Misugiri's DEF increase makes it a potentially useful weapon for characters such as Albedo. Dialogues of the Desert Sages, on the other hand, is an interesting option for healers, making it particularly suitable for characters like Yaoyao.
