The flagship event of the Genshin Impact 4.5 update is the Alchemical Ascension event and it tasks players with running a potions shop alongside Paimon. The part of the event that includes having knowledge of the market and market cycles is not a new one but having a potion making element to it definitely is. Aside from that, the event also has a series of challenging tests that players must complete to progress in the event known as the Alchemy Exams. Genshin Impact: Alchemical Ascension Alchemy Exams
Beginner Alchemy Exam
In the Beginner Alchemy Exam, you must create an Intermediate Constitution Potion. Follow these steps to pass:
Main Objective:
Concoct a potion of Intermediate or higher grade with Constitution as its main characteristic.
Optional Objectives:
Potion grade reaches Intermediate and potion level reaches +5.
Potion displays at least 1 characteristic.
Use no more than 3 different types of ingredients.
Ingredients:
4 Special Sweet Flower (Constitution/Strengthening)
3 Special Calla Lily (Constitution/Steadying)
2 Special Mushroom (Balanced/Endurance)

Intermediate Alchemy Exam
In the Intermediate Alchemy Exam, you must concoct a potion with Strength and Dexterity as its main characteristics. Follow these steps to pass:
Main Objective:
Concoct a potion with Strength and Dexterity both reaching grade Intermediate or higher.
Optional Objectives:
Potion grade reaches Intermediate and potion level reaches +8.
Potion displays at least 2 characteristics.
Use no more than 10 ingredients.
Ingredients:
6 Special Horsetail (Dexterity/Endurance)
2 Special Mist Flower (Strength/Steadying)
2 Special Mushroom (Balanced/Endurance)
Advanced Alchemy Exam
In the Advanced Alchemy Exam, you must create an Advanced Wisdom Potion. Follow these steps to pass:
Main Objective:
Concoct a potion of Advanced or higher grade with Wisdom as its main characteristic.
Optional Objectives:
Potion grade reaches Advanced and potion level reaches +8.
Potion displays the “Fragrant” characteristic.
Uses at least 5 different types of ingredients.

2 Special Marcotte (Charisma/Fragrant)
2 Special Lumidouce Bell (Wisdom/Technique)
2 Special Sumeru Rose (Charisma/Fragrant)
2 Special Qingxin (Wisdom/Healing)

Expert Alchemy Exam
In the Expert Alchemy Exam, you must concoct a potion of Expert grade with Charisma as its main characteristic. Follow these steps to pass:
Main Objective:
Concoct a potion of Expert grade with Charisma as its main characteristic.
Optional Objectives:
Potion grade reaches Expert and potion level reaches +8.
Potion displays the “Perception” and “Steadying” characteristics.
Tuning Rate reaches 280%.
