The region boasts over 25 teleport waypoints, making navigation seamless for Travelers. Completion of the Mondstadt Archon Quest unlocks one waypoint in Upper Vale, offering a convenient starting point for adventurers.
New Exploration Mechanics
Version 4.4 brings three new exploration mechanics to Chenyu Vale, enhancing the traversal experience. First, the Flighty Simulacra, akin to Spoutrocks in The Chasm, boosts characters' jumping abilities when activated. Next, the Golden Carp's Leap allows players to transform into a Golden Carp and navigate the forest and mountain landscapes. Finally, Wrathful Simulacra propels Travelers by firing adeptal energy-filled water droplets in any direction.
Engaging Puzzles
Chenyu Vale challenges Travelers with two intriguing puzzle mechanics. Scenes of Flowing Lotuses, situated near rivers, need adeptal energy to illuminate Lotus Lamps and solve the puzzle. Meanwhile, the Jade Incense Cauldron, scattered in the mountains, necessitates lighting censers using adeptal energy. These puzzles add a layer of complexity to the exploration, rewarding players with valuable treasures.
Vibrant Wildlife and Local Specialties
The 4.4 update introduces new wildlife in Chenyu Vale. These include the Redbull Pelican, Fluff-Fleece Goat, and Jadestone Turtle. Travelers can interact with the Jadestone Turtle, cleaning its shell to get a local specialty for Xianyun's ascension. Additionally, the region offers a new local specialty called Chenyu Adeptea, flourishing in warm and moist areas, particularly in the Qiaoying Village.
Culinary Delights and Recipes
Food enthusiasts will delight in the discovery of new local cuisines in Chenyu Vale. From Chenyu Brew to Tea-Smoked Squab, the region offers a diverse culinary experience. Chenyu Vale's tea leaves become the key ingredient for crafting delightful recipes, such as Fine Tea, Full Moon, and Jadevein Tea Eggs.
New Enemies
Version 4.4 introduces the Solitary Suanni, an overworld boss dropping ascension materials for Xianyun. Additionally, Travelers will encounter the Xuanwen Beast, a new type of wildlife creature found in the mountains of Chenyu Vale.
Release Date and How to Access Chenyu Vale
Chenyu Vale will unlock on 31 January 2024, coinciding with the release of Version 4.4. Travelers can access the region by utilizing the Teleport Waypoint in Chenyu Vale: Upper Vale. This is unlocked upon completing the Song of the Dragon and Freedom quest.
