The highly anticipated Genshin Impact 4.1 update has introduced a new local specialty, Lumitoile, that players will need to ascend the character Neuvillette.
In this guide, we'll provide you with a comprehensive overview of Lumitoile locations and the most efficient farming routes in the Fontaine region.

With the release of the highly anticipated Genshin Impact 4.1 update, players now have the opportunity to obtain Neuvillette from his debut banner. To ascend this Hydro character, adventurers will require a unique local specialty known as Lumitoile.  In this guide, we'll provide you with a comprehensive overview of Lumitoile locations and the most efficient farming routes in the Fontaine region.

What is Lumitoile and where can you find them?

Lumitoile is a star-shaped creature that inhabits the shores and waters of the Fontaine region in Genshin Impact. Recognizable by its soft, sticky nature, Lumitoile can typically be found near underwater metal pipes or walls. Due to their small size, spotting Lumitoiles underwater can be challenging. To make the task easier, players can use characters with a local specialty passive, such as Lyney, to mark their locations on the map. Lumitoile is a crucial ascension material required to level up characters like Neuvillette.

Lumitoile Locations in Fontaine

Fortunately, Lumitoiles are generously scattered throughout the northern part of Fontaine, which was introduced with the 4.1 update. Players don't need to complete the Archon quest to access this area; they can simply head north and explore this new land.

Here are some key locations where you can find Lumitoile materials:

1. New Fontaine Research Institute: Walk along the western shore of the institute to collect approximately 21 Lumitoiles. Dive into the water to find two additional Lumitoiles located on the side and top of a rock

2. Central Laboratory Ruins: Fast travel to the northeastern Central Laboratory Ruins Waypoint, then walk along the southern beach to collect five Lumitoiles.

3. Thalatta Submarine Canyon: Teleport to the Liffey Region Statue of the Seven and head east to collect six Lumitoiles. Be prepared to encounter enemies in this area.

4. Mont Esus East: South of Mont Esus East, you can find eight Lumitoiles. Five of them are located on the shore, and three are in the Source of all Waters: Great Fontaine Lake. Travel to Mont Esus East Waypoint to start collecting.

5. Fortress of Meropide: Above the Fortress of Meropide, there are 15 Lumitoiles. These creatures can be found sticking to the sides or on top of metal pipes, although some may be hidden behind underwater objects or seagrass.

6. Submerged Stony Path: In this area, you can find a total of 12 Lumitoiles. To locate them, teleport to the Submerged Stony Path Waypoint and explore the northwestern water, then head southeast to find more Lumitoiles. You'll need to use the Xenochromatic Jellyfish’s Ability to reach the final two Lumitoiles.

Farming Routes for Lumitoile in Genshin Impact 4.1

To efficiently cover all spawn locations, prioritize unlocking nearby teleport waypoints. For a visual guide, consult YouTube tutorials like KyonStiv's to learn fast and effective farming routes for Lumitoile in Genshin Impact.

However, there's a daily limit to Lumitoile farming; you can collect only 79 Lumitoile per day from your account. To gather the required 168, consider teaming up with other players through co-op sessions for a quicker harvest.
