Genshin Impact 4.1: Diona Talents, Constellations and Passives

Updated On:
Diona is a Cryo healer and shielder in Genshin Impact who can also provide Elemental Mastery buffs at max constellations.
She is a decent flex option in Freeze teams and offers decent defensive utility.
Pulling for her is not recommended if you do not want the featured 5-stars on the banner.

Diona is a 4-star Cryo healer and shielder in Genshin Impact and she is returning as a rerun 4-star in patch 4.1. If you do not have access to Zhongli, or simply want a Cryo support for a Freeze team, she can be a decent pick. She sees play in budget Freeze teams with Mona, an Anemo support and a Cryo DPS. If you are considering building Diona, here’s what you need to know about her Talents, Constellations and Passives.

Genshin Impact 4.1 Diona: Should you pull for her?

Diona is not a must-have character and there are good free-to-play healing options like Barbara who everyone has access to, or Bennett who you can purchase from the Starglitter shop every six months. If you need a Cryo support for Eula or a Freeze team, she can be a good pick. Diona will be available alongside Neuvillette and Hu Tao next patch (4.1) so you might get a copy or two of Diona if you are going for either of the featured 5-stars.

Unlike 5-stars, there is no guarantee that you will be able to snag a 4-star of your choice. There are instances of people spending over a hundred wishes and not getting the 4-star that they need so you should never pull for a low rarity unit unless you are okay with getting the featured 5-star or using up your pity.

Genshin Impact 4.1 Diona: Talents

Elemental Skill - Icy Paws: Fires an Icy Paw that deals Cryo DMG to opponents and forms a shield on hit.

The shield's DMG Absorption scales based on Diona's Max HP, and its duration scales off the number of Icy Paws that hit their target.

  • Rapidly fires off 2 Icy Paws.

  • Dashes back quickly before firing 5 Icy Paws.

The shield created by a Hold attack will gain a 75% DMG Absorption Bonus.

The shield has a 250% Cryo DMG Absorption Bonus, and will cause your active character to become affected by Cryo at the point of formation for a short duration.

Elemental Burst - Signature Mix: Tosses out a special cold brew that deals AoE Cryo DMG and creates a Drunken Mist in an AoE.

Drunken Mist

  • Deals continuous Cryo DMG to opponents within the AoE.

  • Continuously regenerates the HP of characters within the AoE.

Genshin Impact 4.1 Diona: Constellations

C1 - A Lingering Flavor: Regenerates 15 Energy for Diona after the effects of Signature Mix end.

C2 - Shaken, Not Stirred: Increases Icy Paws' DMG by 15%, and increases its shield's DMG Absorption by 15%.

Additionally, when paws hit their targets, creates a shield for other nearby characters on the field with 50% of the Icy Paws shield's DMG Absorption for 5s.

C3 - A-Another Round?: Increases the Level of Signature Mix by 3 (Max Level 15).

C4 - Wine Industry Slayer: Within the radius of Signature Mix, Diona's charge time for aimed shots is reduced by 60%

C5 - Double Shot, on the Rocks: Increases the Level of Icy Paws by 3 (Max Level 15).

C6 - Cat’s Tail Closing Time: Characters within Signature Mix's radius will gain the following effects based on their HP amounts:

  • Increases Incoming Healing Bonus by 30% when HP falls below or is equal to 50%.

  • Elemental Mastery increased by 200 when HP is above 50%.

Genshin Impact 4.1 Diona: Passives

Cat’s Tail Secret Menu: Characters shielded by Icy Paws have their Movement SPD increased by 10% and their Stamina Consumption decreased by 10%.

Drunkard’s Farce: Opponents who enter the AoE of Signature Mix have 10% decreased ATK for 15s.

Complimentary Bar Food: When Perfect Cooking is achieved on a dish with restorative effects, there is a 12% chance to obtain double the product.
