Genshin Impact players are gearing up for the second phase of version 4.2. Set to kick off on 28 November 2023, the second phase of Genshin Impact version 4.2 introduces reruns for some beloved characters, along with boosted drop rates for exclusive 4-star lineups of characters and weapons that have recently been revealed.

Rerun Banners: Cyno and Ayato Take the Stage

The spotlight in this phase will be on rerun banners, allowing players to revisit some of their favorite characters and bolster their teams with enhanced compositions. The confirmed rerun characters include the formidable Cyno and the skilled Kamisato Ayato. Both characters are set for their second rerun, promising exciting opportunities for players to unlock new Constellations and refine their team dynamics.

Exclusive Characters: The character lineup for the event wishes, available from November 28 to December 20, features a stellar cast:

  • Cyno (5-star Electro): A powerful on-field DPS character with an aggressive kit, Cyno excels in team compositions with recharge and shield abilities.

  • Ayato Kamisato (5-star Hydro): A Hydro sword user, Ayato is ideal for sub-DPS and support roles. His unique elemental burst can decimate multiple enemies on the field.

  • Kirara (4-star Dendro): A reliable Dendro support character offering a decent shield for added protection.

  • Kuki Shinobu (4-star Electro): An excellent Electro support healer, perfect for Dendro teams.

  • Xiangling (4-star Pyro): One of the best Pyro sub-DPS characters in the game.

Weapon Banner Event Wish

Accompanying the character banners is the Epitome Invocation Event Wish, featuring the return of signature weapons. Until December 19, players have the chance to boost their arsenal with major drop-rate increases for the following weapons:

  • Staff of the Scarlet Sands (5-star Polearm): A CRIT Rate sub-stat weapon with impressive passives.

  • Haran Geppaku Futsu (5-star Sword): Another CRIT Rate sub-stat weapon with powerful capabilities.

  • Lion's Roar (4-star Sword): Ideal for on-field DPS characters, offering high Energy Recharge.

  • Favonius Greatsword (4-star Claymore): A valuable claymore for support units, enhancing Energy Recharge.

  • Favonius Lance (4-star Polearm): Providing significant Energy Recharge for polearm wielders.

  • Favonius Warbow (4-star Bow): An excellent bow for boosting Energy Recharge.

  • The Widsith (4-star Catalyst): A versatile catalyst suitable for on-field DPS characters.

This 21-day weapon banner presents an excellent opportunity for players to acquire these weapons and enhance their characters' capabilities.

Beyond the rerun banners and exclusive weapons, Genshin Impact version 4.2 introduces new explorable locations in the Fontaine region—Erinnyes Forest and Sealed Ruined Tower. These locales come with unique environmental designs, offering players fresh landscapes to explore and conquer. With version 4.2 lasting until mid-December, players have ample time to seize the opportunities presented by the rerun banners, exclusive weapons, and exciting new content.
