Highlights
Genshin Impact 3.8 leaks suggest that there will be four 5-star reruns and no new characters next patch.
Eula, Klee, Kokomi and Wanderer are the four 5-stars who will be available.
Mika, Rosaria, Razor, Thoma, Yanfei and Faruzan are the returning 4-stars.

Genshin Impact’s patch 3.8 beta is now live and we have information about which 4-stars and 5-stars will be appearing in an upcoming update. There will be no new 4-star and 5-star characters in the patch but we will be getting some long-awaited reruns. The new patch will drop sometime around 5th July 2023 and it will be the last update before we head to Fontaine in August.

Genshin Impact 3.8 Banners - Eula, Klee, Kokomi, Wanderer

According to leakers who have access to the Genshin Impact 3.8 beta, these are the characters who will be appearing in the first and second-phase banners.

Phase One 5-stars

  • Eula

  • Klee

Phase Two 5-stars

  • Kokomi

  • Wanderer

4-stars (Order unknown)

  • Mika

  • Rosaria

  • Razor

  • Thoma

  • Yanfei

  • Faruzan

The 4-star characters listed above will be making an appearance next patch in the banners but we don’t know in what order they will be available.

If you want to pull for any of the 5-stars for their kit/abilities, here are our thoughts on them. However, if you want to pull any of them because of non-gameplay reasons like voice acting, lore, or visual design, feel free to pull for any character that you like.

Kokomi works well in Freeze, Bloom, Hyperbloom and Electrocharged teams and she can also be used as a flex character for your party if you want healing. She is arguably the best 5-star among the four that will appear next patch.

Wanderer is a solid Anemo DPS who has a fun aerial playstyle. He synergizes well with Faruzan and works well in hypercarry teams, where he functions as the on-field damage dealer.

Eula is a Cryo unit that deals massive Physical damage with her burst but there are too many enemies with high Physical Resistance and a lot of bosses have weakness phases that are typically vulnerable to elemental damage.

Klee was a popular DPS unit back in 2020 but even though her damage numbers are fine, it is her clunky playstyle that holds her back. Due to her character hitbox being very small, her charged attacks have very limited range. There are many other DPS characters with a far more fluid playstyle that you can consider over her.

That is all you need to know about Genshin Impact 3.8 banners. For more content check out our Summoners' Summit event guide and update 3.7 patch notes.
