As the release of Wuthering Waves draws closer, leaks about the game's first banner have surfaced, revealing exciting details about the characters to be featured. Just like other popular gacha games such as Honkai Star Rail and Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves will feature a banner system that includes one standard banner and a limited banner for each phase of the version. Here's a breakdown of what to expect from the first banner based on leaks.
Wuthering Waves Phase 1 Leaked Banner (May 22 – June 11)
The first limited character banner in Wuthering Waves is expected to showcase the 5-star character Jiyan, wielding an Aero Broadblade. Joining Jiyan are the 4-star characters Danjin, Chixia, and Mortefi.

Wuthering Waves Standard Banner
The initial standard banner of Wuthering Waves is set to include Calcharo, Verina, Encore, Lingyang, and Jianxin as the 5-star characters. Additionally, this banner will feature all nine 4-star characters: Aalto, Baizhi, Chixia, Danjin, Mortefi, Sanhua, Taoqi, Yangyang, and Yuanwu.
The standard banner is expected to remain available throughout the entire version, similar to other gacha games.

Wuthering Waves Gacha System
Wuthering Waves' gacha system operates on a currency called astrite, which is used to pull characters and weapons from banners. Players can purchase tides with astrite, with each tide allowing them to perform a pull on different types of banners:
Lustrous tide for Novice Convene, Character Permanent Convene, and Weapon Permanent Convene.
Radiant tide for Character Event Convene.
Forging tide for Weapon Event Convene.
Each pull has the chance to yield a 3-star, 4-star, or 5-star weapon or character. To encourage players, the game guarantees a 4-star character or weapon within ten pulls if not obtained earlier.
