When Will TLOU Part 2 Release on PC?
Naughty Dog’s The Last Of Us (TLOU) has been one of the most critically acclaimed PlayStation-exclusive titles of the last decade. While the first title got a remastered version for PC in March last year, numerous fans are wondering if the second part is also getting its remastered PC version anytime soon. This is considering that the game is getting an overhaul for the PlayStation 5 with new outfits, game modes, and more. Without further ado, let’s jump right into it.
TLOU Part 2 Remastered PC Release Date
While TLOU Part 2 Remastered is making its way to the PlayStation 5 on 19th January, there has been no official announcement from Naughty Dog or Sony for the PC version. That being said, we can expect to see the PC launch sometime in Q2 of 2024. This release window would mean we can get our hands on the game anytime from April till the end of June this year.
Considering the long lineup of PlayStation-exclusive titles coming to PC, it is certain that we’ll see the PC version without any major delays. Typically, Sony launches its games first on its own console, so it is fair that there is a gap between the PC and PlayStation 5 release dates.
TLOU Part 1 was released for the PS5 on 2nd September 2022 and on 28th March 2023 for PC which gives us around 6 months between the launch dates. Judging from this, we can expect TLOU Part 2 to follow the same release window as its predecessor. Considering that both these titles run on the same game engine and share most of its underlying technology, Naughty Dog might release the game much sooner than the speculated dates.
Moreover, all the new and improved features and game modes like guitar free-play, Lost levels, and No Return, a rogue-like survival mode, will all make their way to the PC version, along with improved graphics and textures.
That is pretty much everything we need to know about the possible release date of TLOU Part 2 on PC. Do note that the expected launch date is based on speculation and rumors and there has been no confirmation from Sony or Naughty Dog. Please take it with a grain of salt.
