Embark Studios, the creative force behind The Finals, has finally released the much awaited 1.5 Patch Update. It has brought forth some really interesting game-changing updates, bug fixes, and much more. The highlight of the patch update is the game's first-ever limited-time mode, Solo Bank It.

The update was recently released and is already live! 2024 for The Finals is starting with a blast and we are here for it. Find all the relevant details regarding the 1.5 Patch Update here.

When Were the 1.5.0 Patch Notes Released?

After the 1.4.1 update, Embark Studios has finally brought in the new update. The update was launched on 17th January 2024 after a long wait.

Headlining this update is the new game mode 'Solo Bank It’. It is a limited-time solo mode with a twist on the classic Bank It. There are no teams but just 12 players grinding to be the first to drop a whopping 40,000 at the cash-out station. It also seems like Embark Studios has tried to incorporate as much feedback as it could into the new update. There are tons of balance changes, bug fixes and tweaks to already existing features.

In this blog post, Embark Studios goes on to introduce the new update, especially shedding light on Solo Bank It.

Nerfs and Buffs for Weapons and Gadgets

Embark Studios wants The Finals to be fair and fun. It is tweaking abilities like Cloaking Device, Grapple Hook, and Mesh Shield. Gadgets are also undergoing a makeover, with some getting nerfed (C4, Gas Mine, RPG, and Stun Gun) and others buffed (Flashbang, Incendiary Mine, Vanishing Bomb, and Tracking Dart). Weapons are also a part of this change, with buffs for Flamethrower, LH1, M11, M60, and V9S. But the SH1900 Shotgun takes the nerf to balance out things.

Incorporating Player Feedback

Embark Studios has dutifully incorporated player feedback, making changes based on what the player base is saying. The aim assist has undergone serious changes with the studio tweaking zoom snapping and camera magnetism.

A highly requested feature that hasn’t yet made the cut is a text-based chat system for those who cannot use the voice chat feature. While it’s not a part of this update, we are sure Embark Studios will listen to player feedback and incorporate it in an update.
