Warner Bros. is offering PlayStation and Xbox players an early look at Mortal Kombat 1 via a pre-order beta.
The beta period will begin on 18th August and last until 21st August.
Players who preorder the game on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S will receive a code to access the beta.

Warner Bros. revealed that players who preorder Mortal Kombat 1 will be able to play the next beta that will go live on 18th August. It does not look like there will be a beta via a closed sign-up process or an open beta before the game releases and if you were hoping for one, you are out of luck. The game releases on 14th September for all platforms in case you are not interested in pre-ordering the game.

Mortal Kombat 1 Pre-order Beta Details 

The Mortal Kombat 1 Pre-Order Beta is a bonus for those who pre-order the game on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S, providing an opportunity to play Mortal Kombat 1 before the game launches on 19th September.

  1. Log in to a Warner Bros. Games Account. 

  2. If you don’t have a WB Games Account, visit account.WBGames.com to create an account.

  3. Once logged in, visit WBGames.com/Betas and enter the code under the [Redeem a Pre-Order Beta Code] section

  4. Click the [Redeem] button

  5. Read the on-screen prompt and when ready, select [Accept and Continue]

  6. Users will then receive a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S code based on console preference that is only redeemable from 15th August at 11 AM EDT / 10 AM CDT / 8 AM PDT

The Mortal Kombat 1 Pre-Order Beta will begin on 18th August EDT 11 AM EDT / 10 AM CDT / 8 AM PDT and run through 21st August at 11 AM EDT / 10 AM CDT / 8 AM PDT. Please note, while digital codes will be redeemable beforehand and the Beta version of the game will be downloadable prior to the Beta, players will not be able to access the game to participate until the previously mentioned start time. Players who try to launch the Beta version outside of the Beta period will encounter a “Sign in to enter this menu” error.
