Highlights
Call of Duty is bringing back one of the most action-packed maps, Rebirth Island, to Warzone in Season 3.
Players are excited to play on Rebirth Island again since it was teased during last year's Call of Duty: Next event.

Ever since its inception over two decades ago, the Call of Duty (CoD) franchise has seen some incredible maps in the game. From the classic Carentan to modern Shipment, the franchise sure is a shooter with variety. The tradition hasn't come to an end with free-to-play Warzone. From Vondel to Verdans, we've seen Warzone's maps providing unique and fun experiences for everyone. However, one of the most popular maps has been missing since the release of Warzone 2.0: Rebirth Island. It's a small yet intense map that's finally making a return in the upcoming Call of Duty season.

Rebirth Island is Finally Returning in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3

Taking direct inspiration from the Rebirth Island from the "Rebirth" mission CoD: Black Ops 3, the iconic Warzone map was one of the most famous ones in the game. When it first launched in 2020, it was quite a change of pace from the regular Warzone experience. It allowed for quicker games with a small map, meaning fewer places for opponents to hide in.

The map was a huge part of Warzone until it was removed from the map pool in November 2022 with the launch of Warzone 2.0. Although other maps, such as Ashika Island and Vondel, were added, they didn't find the success and popularity that was seen with Rebirth Island.

Thankfully, the developers finally revealed their plans to bring Rebirth Island back to Warzone. The official Acitivison X account has revealed that Rebirth Island will return to Warzone on April 3rd, 2024, with Season 3 to celebrate "Rebirth Day."

Reputable sources for CoD updates have also revealed a range of new weapons that will be introduced alongside the Rebirth Island update. The season will bring multiple weapons based on guns from CoD: Advanced Warfare.

There's no doubt that Rebirth Island's return has made a lot of gamers excited, as the hype for the map has only increased since the launch of Warzone Mobile, which features the popular map. While most of the Season 3 details are still unknown, if Warzone goes with the previous season's format, the upcoming season will last eight weeks, with a mid-season refresh after the first four weeks. With the mid-season refresh, we're going to see the next batch of updates, which could include additional weapons.
