These Celebrities Are Designing Spider-Man 2’s Exclusive Post-Launch Spidey Suits
The release date for Insomniac Games and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is just around the corner and many fans are extremely excited to get their hands on this game. This newest instalment in the Spiderman franchise will be offering a number of suits for players to unlock as they progress through the game. There are over 65 alternative spidey suits for Peter Parker and Miles Morales to wear along with many customizing options when the game launches.
However, apart from them, there seem to be a bunch of post-launch suits in the making and this was recently teased by fashion designer Colm Dillane, also known as KidSuper.
Celebrities including Japanese singer Rina Sawayama, Formula One driver Lando Norris, and football star Vinicius Junior were named as the ones designing the custom spidey suits for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, exclusively post-launch.
Here is everything you need to know about the Spider-Man 2’s celebrity collaboration for custom suits that will be made available post-launch.
Celebrity-Designed Spidey Suits for Spider-Man 2 In the Making
On 12th October, Colm ‘KidSuper’ Dillane tweeted, “Super excited to be teaming up with @PlayStation @rinasawayama @vinijr @landonorris to bring you custom designed Spidey-Suits that will be available in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 post-launch! A lot more to come so stayed tuned!! #SpiderMan2PS5 #BeGreaterTogether”
As per his tweet, the custom, celebrity-designed spidey suits for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be available only post-launch.
Many have been doubting the randomness of the collaboration but the celebrities mentioned as part of this post-launch project for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 are sure to bring in their unique personalities, vibe and excitement to the table.
The video shared by Dillane also gave a glimpse of what can be expected as part of this collaboration. For example, we can see Vinicius Junior sporting a spidey suit inspired by the colours of the Brazilian flag.
In the teaser, Rina Sawayama talked about her love for leather, while Lando Norris mentioned “stealth.”
Rina Sawayama, who has adorned some iconic outfits throughout her music career, could bring in a splash of creativity to the spidey suits while working with Dilane, and players can possibly expect to see some kind of a leather outfit at play.
Funnily, Lando Norris’ company, Quadrant, commented on his Instagram post, “If it’s [spidey suit] is not fluro yellow, I’m gonna throw arms.” This is a reference to Lando Norris’ iconic fluro colour that he uses on his helmet and his branding. But, the Formula One superstar talked about his inclination toward stealth design.
While we do know who’s going to be working on these projects, we are not sure how long it will take for these spidey suits to be available after the launch. Details about how these new designs will be included in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 are not very clear either.
As of yet, it is not confirmed as to whether the post-launch spidey suits designed by Rina, Lando, and Vinitus will be free or not either.
With Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s official launch date — 20th October — just around the corner, fans and players can expect to see more information very soon, in the coming days.
