Adding this to your list of mods is a no-brainer, especially if you are a beginner. Although it does not offer a complete UI overhaul, it makes numerous adjustments to the game’s UI which makes it more refined and intuitive to use. It adds features like a Worked Tile Indicator, a dedicated Screenshot Mode, Improved Tooltips, etc. which will drastically improve how you play through Civilization 6.

Movable Districts

Although it comes at a premium, having the option to move around your districts after you have set them up is certainly a welcomed addition by many. This mod allows you to move around all buildings (yes, even the church) of a district to a separate area. Keep in mind that you will have to pay twice the production cost of that district to move it. For example, if the district costs 75 production, you will have to pay 150 gold to move it around.

Detailed Map Tacks

Detailed Map Tacks

If you consider yourself a bit of a forward thinker and would like to plan your districts better, this mod allows you to place map tacks for each district. Rather than calculating the yields of each district along with its adjacency bonuses, you will now receive the potential amount by simply adding a map tack for the district you wish to track.

Unique District Icons

Unique District Icons

This mod essentially replaces the icons for all vanilla, Rise and Fall, Gathering Storm, and New Frontier Districts in the game, allowing you to intuitively keep track of districts that produce the most yield. This will allow you to easily track your districts and can be a worthy addition to the Detailed Map Tacks mod.

Although the game can keep track of all the mods installed, having a dedicated manager while you are adding a large number of mods can help make the process easier. You will see an enabled and a disabled list for all mods and you can quickly activate or deactivate multiple mods all at once by simply holding the shift key. Apart from this, you also get access to filters, a total mod counter, search options, and more.
