In March 2023, Supercell released a series of updates for its popular strategy based game, Clash Royale. The update was subjected to backlash due to the unsatisfactory experience that players had. However, the Season Tokens feature stood out and it was the best thing to come out of the update. Season Shop was introduced as part of the changes made to the Events tab. It has a lot to offer and can be purchased through in-game Season currency called Season Tokens.

What is Season Shop in Clash Royale?
This is a rewarding system designed to offer players various incentives and bonuses throughout each season. It is accessible through the Events tab in Clash Royale, where players can exchange their Season Tokens for a range of rewards, including cards, gold, wild cards, banner tokens, battle banners, books, evolution shards, wild shards, and occasionally emotes.
Supercell said, "The biggest change to Events (any game mode in the Events Tab) is that pre-determined rewards are no longer a thing. To make it easier for players to get the rewards that they want, we have introduced SEASON TOKENS."
What are Season Tokens in Clash Royale?
Season Tokens are the primary in-game currency that you can use to acquire rewards and bonuses from the Season Shop. Players can earn these Season Tokens by participating in events or through the Pass Royale.
The number of tokens that one is able to amass will heavily depend on their ability to perform well in the game and boost their stats as much as possible.
Players will gain 100 Season Tokens for each enemy Crown Tower they successfully destroy. They'll receive 50 Season Tokens for every one of their own Crown Towers that they are able to protect by the end of the game. Moreover, players also earn 1 Season Token for each unit of Elixir they utilize during each battle. It is also important to highlight that if a player is able to secure victory in a battle, they can get their total earned Season Tokens augmented by an extra 50%.
A player can amass up to 1,000 Season Tokens and can add more than 1,000 to this stack by spending 50 gems. The extension to this pile of tokens is limitless if you are able to spend more and more gems. However, keep in mind that the price of the gem will increase by 50 times every time you use it.
Amassing Season Tokens by the end of a season can also help you convert these tokens into Gold. Every 10 Season Tokens translates to 1 unit of Gold. So, if you are able to amass 4,000 Season Tokens, you can get 40 units of Gold.

1. Earning Season Tokens by Events
Always keep an eye out for new seasons that the game introduces. Participating in events will help you collect around 1,000 tokens each day. If the event runs for a significantly longer period, you will be able to amass a large number of Season Tokens which can then be used to purchase gold, wild cards, emotes, season items, book of cards, battle banners, banner tokens, etc.
2. Earning Season Token through Pass Royale
Investing in the Pass Royale provides an opportunity to obtain additional tokens. While the free tier obviously helps you gather Season Tokens, diamond tier or gold tier is an added advantage, supplying generous amounts of Season Tokens. If it fits your budget, it is definitely worth it to invest in a Pass Royale to get Season Tokens.
