Tom Henderson, the owner of Insider Gaming has mentioned that Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland is well-alive but has undergone changes.
While no other details have been unveiled at the time of writing, the fact that crucial changes have been made to the game could possibly mean anything, so take it with a grain of salt.

Red Storm Entertainment, known for developing the critically acclaimed Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon franchise for Ubisoft, announced Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland in May 2021. Since then we’ve only received one more update in the form of an overview video in April 2023, and the developers have been quiet ever since.

However, a renowned source in the industry has now offered us information stating that the project is still in development but some alterations might have been made to it. Here’s everything you need to know.

News Comes From the Owner and Head of Insider Gaming

Tom Henderson, the owner of the distinguished site Insider Gaming is the source behind this leak. His expertise in the field has been well-established so their credibility in this information can certainly be trusted. However, Henderson also states that the project is well-alive but has undergone drastic changes.

While no other details have been unveiled at the time of writing, the fact that significant changes have been made to the game could possibly mean anything. The Division Heartland may even become a paid game, and switch its platforms, genre, story, etc. If Ubisoft and the studio had stuck to their roadmaps, this transformation could also be something as simple as changing gameplay mechanics, weapons, first-person perspective, etc.

For those who are unaware, Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland is a free-to-play survival action shooter that is set in the Division universe offering PvEvP gameplay where you get to explore the dynamic town of Silver Creek. You take on the role of a division agent, tasked with protecting the region against rogue agents and deadly contaminations.

This game introduces brand-new characters who are directly tied to the timeline of The Division, but this time featuring captivating Storylines and quests. Besides its gunplay, the focus has mainly been on survival mechanics, potentially combining gameplay elements from games like Day Z and their very own Ghost Recon.

Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland is expected to be released on both older and newer-gen consoles like the PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and also on PC.
