Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: Update 2.0.2 Patch Notes

The latest update is available for all platforms, allowing trainers to experience the revamped gameplay. Here are the full details.

Bug Fixes

  • Under certain conditions, victories against the NPC Trainers scattered across the game world may not have been recorded. As a result, the rewards players could earn by winning a certain number of battles — such as from Pokémon League representatives in the Paldea region or Ogre Clan members in the land of Kitakami — were not obtainable. This bug has been fixed, so players who experienced this issue can now challenge affected NPC Trainers again to record their victories and subsequently receive any eligible rewards.

  • It was not previously possible to transfer certain special Pokémon to Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet via Pokémon HOME if those Pokémon were brought into Pokémon HOME from Pokémon GO, even if a Pokémon of the same species had already been obtained in Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet prior to version 1.3.2. This bug has been fixed, and the issue has been resolved.

  • Other select bug fixes have been implemented.

A major bug that has been fixed is the issue where victories against NPC trainers were not being recorded under certain conditions. Trainers were unable to get rewards for winning battles. However, with the update, players can now challenge these trainers again, record victories and get rewards.

Additionally, there was also a bug which was preventing certain special Pokémon from being transferred to Scarlet and Violet via Pokémon HOME if those Pokémon were brought into Pokémon HOME from Pokémon Go. The bug has been finally fixed, and trainers can transfer these special Pokémon without any issues.

There are other select bug fixes in the update as well, which aim to improve the overall gameplay experience and more enjoyable time for players.

And that’s everything on the latest Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Update 2.0.2. It’s not a big update as it’s aimed to improve the gameplay experience, but it’s preparing players for the upcoming DLC.
