In this article, we'll share the ultimate Grotle Pokemon Go moveset with you.

Grotle is a fan-favorite Pokemon in Pokemon Go. It is a grass-type, tier-three boss Pokemon that can only be captured by defeating him. This Pokemon, being grass-type, is highly vulnerable against a lot of other Pokemon types. These include flying, poison, bug, fire, and ice-type.

It comes from the Turtwig family and Grotle is at the second stage of evolution. The Pokemon hails from Sinnoh region and uses strong opposition moves to float by the game.

In this article, we'll help you create an ultimate Pokemon Go Grotle build.

Grotle in Pokemon Go: All You Need to Know

Grotle is a grass-type, tier-three boss Pokemon. The final version of this Pokemon is Torterra. It was first introduced in 2018 with other Pokemon in the Sinnoh region. Grotle is not very well-known for its combat but rather for its desirability. It is a Pokemon that cannot be caught in the wild, but rather by defeating. This is what makes catching it a desirable pursuit.

In comparison to other grass-type Pokemon, Grotle is not very strong. Due to its limitations in Razor Leaf charge, it lacks the strength to be the first choice in any combat.

There are three Pokemon that come in this evolutionary cycle. These are Turtwig, Grotle and Torterra. Grotle evolves from Turtwig for 25 Candy, and then evolves into Torterra for 100 Candy.

Best Moves for Grotle in Pokemon Go

Players who opt for Grotle usually have to make sure that they use moves that compliment their grass-type nature. Secondly, Grotle is extremely vulnerable against different Pokemon types like flying, poison, bug, fire, and ice-type. It receives less damage from Electric, Grass, Ground, and Water-type moves.

The most powerful moveset for Grotle consists of Razor Leaf and Body Slam. They are explained as follows:

  1. Razor Leaf - This move brings on a set of whirling razor leaves that hit enemies hard and fast, cutting through them like a knife. Razor Leaf is the best fast move because it gets a Same Type Attack Bonus (STAB), which boosts its damage. However, it generates energy slowly, making it less efficient.

  2. Body Slam - All Grotle really requires, and can manage energy-wise, is Body Slam. Because of its slow energy generation, this will likely be the primary, if not the only, charge move Grotle will employ. It has only 35 energy costs and coverage. If players can spend 10k Stardust, opting for Energy Ball would probably be more practical than Solar Beam due to its lower energy requirements.
