Players who had preordered Mortal Kombat 1 have been enjoying the all new iconic reboot since 14th September, 2023. The game is scheduled to officially launch on 19th September 2023 on PlayStation V, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows. Being a reboot has not stopped the game from carrying the legacy of the franchise forward. It still carries many of the hallmarks that have earned it the reputation that precedes it today. However, the game also has a new set of moves for each character that can only be unlocked after completing a set of challenges or reaching a certain level. In this article, we’ll talk about those fatalities and how you can access them.

Performing Fatalities in Mortal Kombat 1

Every character has a default Fatality that is already unlocked. To perform them, players need to input a set of key combinations as soon as an enemy is vulnerable. As the match is coming to an end and the enemy’s health is declining, the health bar will appear fully drained. During this time, players can hear the announcer shout “Finish Him” or “Finish Her”, declaring that the enemy is ready for the final Fatality.

Here is how you can use your character’s Fatalities in Mortal Kombat 1:

  1. Start a match in Mortal Kombat 1.

  2. Drain your enemy’s health bar in the final round.

  3. Wait for the announcer to say “Finish Him” or “Finish Her.”

  4. Add the commands (Listed below) for the Fatality you want to perform.

  5. Watch as your character performs the finishing moves.

Obviously, it is not easy to remember each and every Fatality command. While playing offline, you can navigate to the Move List tab after pausing the game to find the right commands. However, this won’t work for online matches.

How to Unlock Secondary Mortal Kombat 1 Fatalities?

Mortal Kombat 1 has a number of game modes to offer. One of them is the newest Invasion mode that players need to play in order to unlock new Fatalities. As aforementioned, every player has one Fatality that is available by default at the beginning of the game. However, they will need to complete challenges in Invasion to unlock the second one.
