Hoe

This tool helps you create fertile land that can be used to farm various items. They also have the same levels of rarity similar to other hand tools in the game.

Fishing Rod

As the name suggests, this tool is essential to catch fish and get your health bar up, although it does have a slight learning curve to get the hang of it. Once you deploy it, you must wait until the bobber goes down and then click or press the same key to catch fish.

Crafting a fishing rod requires 3 Sticks and 2 Strings and it can be used 65 times.

Shovel

This allows you to dig through dirt and grass much faster and it can be vital if you are farming numerous blocks of them. They also have five levels such as:

  • Stone: 132 uses

  • Iron: 251 uses

  • Gold: 33 uses

  • Diamond: 1562 uses

Shear

This is another basic tool that allows you to gather wool from fully-grown sheep. It requires 2 Iron ingots and it can used 238 times.

Anvil

An anvil allows you to rename and repair various items in the game, although certain items do require higher levels of experience to do so. You will need 3 Iron blocks and 4 Iron ingots to craft one and it lasts for around 24 uses.

Lead

This one allows you to put a leash on various animals present in the game. You can drag them around or even tie them to a fence post. You will need 4 Strings and 1 Slimeball to craft a lead and it can be used infinitely.

Compass

A helpful tool that will point you towards your home or spawn point as you venture out into the vastness of your world. This tool sits in your inventory and it costs 4 Iron ingots and 1 Redstone dust to craft one.

Flint and Steel 

This allows you to use the age-old method of igniting things on fire. Using this tool can help you ignite blocks but you need to be mindful of it as this fire can spread through blocks of wood, leaves, wool, and tall grass. It requires 1 Iron ingot and 1 flint to craft it and it lasts for 65 uses.

Clock

Allows you to keep track of in-game time when you are mining underground or away from sunlight. Apart from keeping it in your inventory, you can also place it in an item frame as a decoration. You will need 4 Gold ingots and 1 Redstone dust to craft one.

Bucket

You can transfer huge amounts of water if you need it for farming or for creating water streams. It can also be used to carry lava without it breaking or wearing off with every use. Crafting a bucket requires 3 Iron ingots.

Bowl

Replenish your hunger and experiment with your in-game cooking skills by making various types of stew. It can be used indefinitely and crafting one requires 3 Wooden Planks.

Map

This is essentially a better use case for the compass as you will now get an aerial view of your environment, making it easier to navigate through rough or dense terrain. Crafting a map needs you to have 8 Papers and 1 Compass.
