Minecraft Snapshots has always provided players with exciting testing versions of the game to experiment with newly added features. It gives us a glimpse into the possible changes and fixes that would provide a more refined Minecraft experience. The 23W35A Snapshot brings a host of bug fixes that would help resolve persistent issues that have been plaguing the game. Let’s take a look at these changes.
Minecraft Snapshot 23W35A Technical Changes
Unlike the previous 23W31A Snapshot, this one has focused more on improving the technical aspects of the game rather than making outright changes to its gameplay elements. The two major technical changes are:
The LightWeight Java Game Library (LWJGL) library has been upgraded to version 3.3.2
The default Java version shipped with the game has been upgraded to Microsoft OpenJDK 17.0.8
The update to the LWJGL ensures graphical upgrades as well as improvements to audio quality and input latency. Furthermore, upgrading to the latest Microsoft OpenJDK version enables better compatibility and optimization for Minecraft.
