How to Defeat Kraven the Hunter in Spider-Man 2?
Kraven is one of the main villains you'll encounter in Spider-Man 2, and you'll have to deal with him multiple times. However, one particular fight can be hard to deal with, so it's important to use the right strategy.
You'll have a boss fight with Kraven the Hunter during the' Anything Can Be Broken' mission. It's your main fight with him during the game's story. In order to beat him, you have to work your way through his two health bars.
Phase One
Kraven is an incredibly strong opponent, thanks to his rapid movement. In the first phase, you'll have to fight Kraven using fists. He'll be able to call in aerial strikes alongside other Hunters. These aerial strikers happen at the edge of the arena, so stay in the center.
He'll have a limited move set in the first phase, only using his fists to fight. The last attack in his arsenal is a leaping punch, where he'll dive into you swinging his fists. This deals a lot of damage, so use yellow rings that appear around the hunter's head to judge where he will land his punch, as it turns red when he's going to hit you.
Countering him in phase one is easy; you only need to parry his punches. You have to make sure his punches don't hit you because they deal high damage and stun you. You have to use your symbiote abilities to attack him as they deal incredible damage against him.
Phase Two
After you've taken down his first health, you'll head into phase two, which will be set in a much larger arena. It's going to get tricky because Kraven can use his invisibility, and support from Hunters will be far more effective. Additionally, air strikes are going to be much more accurate to where you stand and can actually hit you.
Instead of just using his fists, Kraven will wield a two-hand axe and swing it spinning. Once it gets to the third swing, he charges to a dive attack that has a heavy delay.
You need to block this attack. Kraven will also throw a spear and try to hit you from a long-range, but it's this time he's the most vulnerable. You can attack and disarm him by pressing L1+R1 to send a barrel at him to stun him.
But that's not it; Kraven now also has the ability to climb trees, wield a massive sniper rifle, and call dogs. You have to get out of his sight and charge him down before he gets to shoot you with his rifle. It's important to get rid of the dogs as soon as possible to focus on taking down Kraven.
We're finally at the last scenario. If Kraven throws his spear at the bell central to the arena, you will be stunned, as it would disable all your symbiote abilities. It's important to deal with this because your symbiote abilities are the main damage output against Kraven. As soon as the bell rings, you need to fire your webs to stop the ringing. You'll immediately gain access to your symbiote abilities and fight against Kraven.
