The next collaboration for Minecraft is finally here! The game is teaming up with one of the most popular franchises, Kung Fu Panda.
As part of the new DLC, players can master kung fu alongside Po, Shifu, and the Furious Five at Jade Palace.

The last few years have been fantastic for Minecraft players, as Mojang has launched various DLCs for the sandbox game. From Jurassic World to Avatar: The Last Airbender, we've seen some of the most popular franchises have made their way into Minecraft. However, Mojang isn't planning to slow down with any collaborations any time soon! Minecraft is getting another crossover DLC, and the collaboration involves the fan-favorite franchise, Kung Fu Panda. Let's take a look at everything we know about the Minecraft x Kung Fu Panda crossover.

Mojang Brings Kung Fu Panda Franchise to Minecraft

Mojang's popular sandbox title, Minecraft, has a significant history of crossovers with famous franchises and pop culture icons that received the blocky treatment. Now, Minecraft has released a brand-new DLC in collaboration with Dreamwork's Kung Fu Panda franchise. Players can purchase the DLC for 1500 Minecoins ($8 USD) and explore an adventure map with Po and the Furious Five.

While players team up with Po, they'll also come across the dangerous Lord Shen and other villains such as General Kai and Tai Lung. Players can visit tons of locations from the franchise in their block versions, including Peach Tree, Mr Ping's Noodle Shop, Spirit Realm, and much more. That's not all Minecraft players will be able to get free cosmetics in the Dressing Room and get their hands on Dragon Warrior's Hat! This brand-new crossover DLC brings co-op action, combat scenes from the movie, and encounters with popular characters in their new Minecraft form.

What’s Coming for Minecraft in the Future?

Mojang has undoubtedly planned more crossover content for Minecraft in the future. However, most of the community is waiting for the upcoming Update 1.21. Although we still don't have a release date, we know that Mojang is aiming for a release in the middle of 2024. The last two major updates for the game also hit around the same time, but there's a chance that Mojang might switch things up.

Fans are also patiently waiting for the upcoming Minecraft movie starring Jack Black and Jason Momoa. Filming was completed earlier this month, but it's going to be quite a while before it hits the theaters. The Minecraft movie is scheduled to release on April 4, 2025.
