However, will Arceus debut during the event? Here's everything you need to know.

Pokémon Go has introduced a massive number of Pocket Monsters ever since its debut in 2016, but some of the Pokémon are still missing from the game. The list of missing Legendaries and Mythical Pokémon includes names such as Neckrozma and Okidogi. However, there’s one in particular that trainers are itching to get their hands on, the greatest of all, Arceus.

For years, Pokémon Go fans have been speculating as to when the creator of the Pokémon universe will be joining the game. With Pokémon Go’s Sinnoh Tour on the horizon, will Arceus finally make its debut in the game? Here’s everything we know.

Who is Arceus in Pokémon Go?

Over the years, the Pokémon franchise has introduced a number of interesting creators to us. Some of them are due to their appearance, while others are for their incredible power. One of the most noteworthy Pokémon is Arceus, a Pokémon that was introduced in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.

Arceus is referred to as ‘The Original One’ in Pokémon Myths and Legends, as he’s the one who shaped the universe. He’s the creator of the entire Pokémon World, including places such as Sinnoh region, legendaries such as the Creation trio, Palkia, Dialga and Giratina, the Lake Guardians Uxiue, and many others.

Despite its immense power, Arceus has been depicted as a benevolent creature wishing to protect humans and Pokémon. He also has jaw-dropping stats to back up his lore. In the mainline games, he has a base stat of 720, which is the highest of any Pokémon.

Pokémon Go’s Sinnoh Tour has been dated for February 2024, with a global in-game version that’s set to take place on the 24th and 25th of February. Tour events often feature Pokémon found in a specific region from the main series games; in this case, it’s Diamond and Pearl’s Sinnoh.

Arceus’ debut for the Sinnoh Tour event is yet to be confirmed. Unlike the previous Tour events, this will not complete the region’s Pokedex. Aside from Arceus, there will be other notable absentees, such as Phione and Manaphy.

Could Niantic reveal Arceus as a late addition to the Sinnoh Tour Line? Possibly. The event is set to debut the Origin Formes of Dialga, Palkia, Shiny Shaymin, two new Pikachu-wearing hats, and much more. There’s still a chance that Arceus might debut during Pokemon GO Fest 2024,
