Icons of the Indian Dragon Ball Z Community also took part in the Effort

The CosCon event, which took place at Tirpude College from 28 to 29 October 2023, saw the culmination of a dream shared by many fans. The massive Kamehameha effort was led by Ankur Javeri, the Hindi voice actor for Goku.

Another prominent figure in the Indian anime community, Vaibhav Thakkar, the voice actor for Kid Goku in Hindi, was also present at the event and marveled at the accomplishment.

The event's TV channel partner, Cartoon Network India, played a vital role in introducing and popularizing Dragon Ball in India. Uttam Pal Singh, the head of the kids cluster in South Asia at Warner Bros. Discover, reaffirmed the channel's commitment to supporting the anime community.

The event organizer, Samarth Thakral, emphasized the special place that Kamehameha holds in the hearts of fans. He said, “Kamehameha holds a special place in our hearts. NAC members have been unleashing Kamehamehas since 2012. We've done it after anime movies, our mini events, at my weddings — you name it. Seeing an army of fans shouting Goku's signature move, with two extra Gokus on the side, was monumental.”

The achievement not only showcases the unwavering love for Dragon Ball but also underscores the thriving anime community in India. The unity, enthusiasm, and passion displayed by the fans have left a lasting mark, bringing them closer to the beloved world of Goku and his incredible adventures.
