In an interview, game director and VP Gabe Amatangelo confirmed that Phantom Liberty DLC would bring new endings, depending on the choices made in the game. Players can unlock a brand-new ending for the base Cyberpunk 2077 game.
So, how do you unlock the ending? Well, it’s quite simple. In order to unlock the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty ending, you have to go through the entire DLC storyline before you reach the end of the base game. The expansion takes place in the middle of the game, and if you’re playing from the very start, you will hit a certain point, and Phantom Liberty will unlock.
Cyberpunk 2077: How to Unlock the Phantom Liberty DLC in-game?
Edgerunners can start the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC after they reach the ‘I Walk The Line’ Quest in Act 2. It’s the first time the main storyline takes V to Pacifia, home to Dogtown.
After players reach this main job, Phantom Liberty’s first quest will become available, and they can begin exploring the new area.
Just like we’ve seen with Witcher 3’s expansions, players would get the chance to jump straight into the Phantom Liberty DLC from Cyberpunk 2077’s main menu. However, you would need to build a new character from the ground up.
