In this article, we’ll guide you through the process of making an Iridium Sprinkler in Stardew Valley as well as the material required to make it.

Farming is one of the most important tasks in the action roleplaying world of Stardew Valley. It is also a task that brings in a lot of satisfaction, given that the game is also defined as a ‘farming simulation’. It is without doubt that farming utilizes different resources at different stages of crop rearing. However, irrigation is one activity that you engage in throughout the farming process.

Having a sprinkler system makes things ten times easier. Therefore, in this article, we’ll take a look at how you can make your very own Iridium Sprinkler system in Stardew Valley.

What is an Iridium Sprinkler in Stardew Valley?

An Iridium Sprinkler is an irrigation device offering a pivotal irrigation solution that can water around 24 tilled adjacent tiles (in an area of 5×5). This tool becomes available for use after reaching a farming level of 9. However, there are other irrigation alternatives that are available at levels 2 and 6, but they can water only four and eight adjacent tiles, respectively.

How to obtain an Iridium Sprinkler?

There are two ways of obtaining an Iridium Sprinkler. The first way to get one is by creating it after reaching level 9 of farming. The second way is by spending in-game gold. You can purchase it from Krobus for 10,000 pieces of gold every Friday.

Now, let us take a look at how you can create an Iridium Sprinkler.

How to make Iridium Sprinkler?

  1. Unlock the recipe to craft sprinklers at level 2 of farming

  2. Explore more mines, since you need Iridium ore. especially iron one, which will be visible after around floor 41.

You can craft an Iridium Bar by smelting five Iridium Ore and one Coal in a Furnace. Here's how you can access Iridium Ore/Bar:

  • Purple Slimes in the Skull Cavern or Slime Hutch have a chance to drop Iridium Bars and Ore when killed

  • Shadow Shaman and Shadow Brutes also drop an Iridium Bar when slain (0.2% chance).

  • Iridium Bats can also drop one when killed (0.8% chance).

  • The Traveling Cart may sell an Iridium Bar for 3,000–5,000 gold.

  • One Iridium Bar can be received as a gift from Clint at the Feast of the Winter Star.

  • Two to three Iridium Bars can occasionally be found in treasure rooms in the Skull Cavern.

For an Iridium sprinkler, the ingredients are as follows:

  • Gold bar x1

  • Iridium bar x1

  • Battery Pack x1

For the first day after making the sprinkler, you will still have to manually water the plants since the Iridium Sprinkler only works in the mornings.

An Iridium Sprinkler is extremely helpful in water larger areas of the farm, in comparison to sprinklers that you may craft before reaching level 9. While it is a long process, you can gradually do it and then use the sprinkler on your farm.
