Helldivers 2, Arrowhead Game Studios' cooperative shooter, gives players more than simply fierce action and strategic gameplay. With a variety of in-game emotes, players can express themselves and interact with their teammates with flair. Equipping and Using Emotes in Helldivers 2
To equip an emote, head to the Armory on your ship or a teammate's ship. In the Armory, navigate to the Character tab and select Emote. Here, you can choose from a variety of unlocked emotes. Remember, you can't change your emote during a mission, so choose wisely before heading out.
Performing Emotes
To use an emote during a mission, simply activate it by holding the designated button. Emotes can be used anywhere, whether you're on the battlefield or safely aboard your ship. The method for performing an emote varies based on your platform:
For keyboard and mouse players, press the designated emote button (default is 'B').
For DualSense players on PC or PS5, hold the Left button on the D-Pad.
Keep in mind that holding the button is necessary; simply pressing it will switch your weapon instead.
Unlocking More Emotes
While Helldivers 2 offers a default emote for everyone called the Casual Salute, you can unlock additional emotes to expand your repertoire. To do so, visit the Acquisition Center and select the Warbond Progression option. Here, you can purchase new emotes using Medals, which are earned by completing missions, operations, and daily Personal Order challenges.

Partner Emotes
Some emotes, like Hug, are designed for two players. However, only one player needs to have the emote equipped. When activated, a prompt will appear allowing a nearby teammate to join in the emote.
Using Emotes Strategically
While emotes may seem like a purely cosmetic feature, they can be used strategically in Helldivers 2. For example, using a specific emote like the Scout Handshake or Rock Paper Scissors can signal to your teammates that you're ready to perform a specific action or strategy.
