South Park: Snow Day! Is the latest entry into the franchise’s games, this time showcasing third-person hack-and-slash combat mechanics as opposed to the turn-based gameplay featured in its predecessors. Besides all the hilarious jokes and one-liners, the game also features immersive boss battles, some of which can be confusing to deal with.
One such fight occurs between you, the new kid, and Eric Cartman, as he wishes to keep the blizzard going to continue skipping school. This fight can be quite challenging, as Cartman will acquire new wizard powers from Mr. Hankey and summon Bulrog, a giant snowman version of himself. Here’s everything you need to know to win this encounter.
Here’s How You Can Defeat Cartman and Bulrog in South Park: Snow Day!
Before this battle begins, Cartman will mention that he has acquired new powers from Mr. Hackey and summon Bulrog, one of the Ninjas of Tokugawa, first featured in Season 8 Episode 1 of the show. Only this time, the ninja will be humongous in size and made out of snow. Once the fight begins, Bulrog will chase you around, while Cartman will use ranged attacks, hurling fireballs at you.
Dealing with Bulrog
Although your first thought would be to take out the giant snow ninja, you must remember that the Bulrog is immune to all types of damage, which means lock-on attacks like Snow Turrets and Drone Bombs are useless against him. You must also watch out for its body slam attack which hurls heaps of snow towards you.
Thankfully, running away and dodging this giant snow ninja is relatively easy due to its large stature. However, simply evading Bulrog will not grant victory, as Cartman must be the focus of your fight.
Cartman’s BS Powers
Besides throwing fireballs at the player, Cartman will also rain down a meteor strike that deals fire damage to you and your teammates. You will have a short window to evade these strikes but make sure not to be grouped together, as this attack covers a large portion of the battle arena.
Although the Wand deals decent ranged damage against Cartman, using your Daggers or Sword and focusing on physical attacks seem to be more effective. You can use powers like Bullrush to deal quickly massive damage or Fart Escape to evade the meteor shower without any reduction to your HP.
After continuous attacks, the Grand Wizard will use his BS powers at his will and render your weapons ineffective against him. Although you will deal very little damage with your weapons, you can still use your powers on Cartman until the debuff gets removed.
Tackling Snow Decoys
After Cartman’s HP drops by around two bars, he will execute another Grand Wizard magic move, merging with Bulrog and deploying numerous snow decoys of himself around the area. You must then find out the real Cartman from the bunch and deal damage to him, all while dodging the giant snow ninja.
This can be quite the challenge if you are playing the game solo with AI companions, as you would have to take out more than 10 of these decoys on average. Although they can be destroyed with just one or two hits, you can also use your own BS powers such as Summon Minions who will help you spot the real Cartman. Continue dealing ranged and physical attacks to the Grand Wizard and he will eventually fall, granting you a Treasure Chest as a reward for defeating him.
