We all remember when Cyberpunk 2077 was released in 2020; it was more glitchier than the brain of someone suffering from Cyberpsychosis. However, instead of giving up, CD Projekt Red continued working on the title, and now we’re finally going to see what they are bringing with the game’s first and only planned expansion, Phantom Liberty.
The Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC promises to overhaul the base game and bring a new storyline, characters, and other features. However, what about the leveling system? It’s one of the most important aspects of Cyberpunk 2077, and the DLC plans to rework the perk and skill system.
If you’re confused about how the new leveling system works, don’t worry! We’ll help you understand everything about leveling in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty: How Does the Leveling System Work?
In Cyberpunk 2077, players can get two types of XPs: Level XP and XP for different Skill Trees under your character’s Attributes.
If you complete main storyline missions and side quests, you will gain XP. If you do certain actions, such as repeatedly shooting with a specific type of weapon, you will gain XP that adds to the specific Skill Tree like Blades, Crafting, and Handguns.
Level XP allows you to level up and put in attribute points. On the other hand, Perk XP allows you to level up a specific Skill Tree and grants you bonuses such as increased accuracy while firing or additional perk points to spend.
With Phantom Liberty DLC, players will have a higher-level cap beyond 50 and new perks to implement as they level up and gain more perk points. New perks can include passive bonuses to skills or new abilities that can help you customize gameplay.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty: How to Level Up Fast?
In the base Cyberpunk 2077 game, both the player level and Street Cred can’t go above Level 50. However, this will be increased to Level 60 for players who purchase Phantom Liberty expansion.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a RPG, and to get to the next level and strengthen your character, you would need XP. So, where will you get XP from? Completing jobs in Cyberpunk 2077 is where your majority of XP will come from.
Completing main jobs will give you the most amount of XP to level up. One main job is enough to get you one whole level, and for the moment, they’re the best way to earn XP and level up fast in the game.
With Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty expansion, you can also increase your game’s difficulty to gain more XP. Don’t forget that this would also increase challenge difficulty, so make sure your character is strong enough to deal with everything.
