Although the new Indio Disk expansion sounds appealing, players are skeptical about purchasing it due to technical issues that plagued the Teal Mask DLC
Players will now get to be exchange students at Blueberry Academy where they will experience four different biomes and starter Pokemon from all regions.
You will also interact with a legendary Pokemon named Terapagos.

After the release of The Teal Mask expansion for The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero in September, developer Game Freak has given a release date for the second part of the expansion called Indigo Disk. Numerous fans are excited to get their hands on this DLC and they are also hoping that the devs will sort out all the performance issues that plague the first part of the expansion. While the first Teal Mask expansion introduced you to a new land called Kitakami, Indigo Disk will take you to Blueberry Academy; a fictional school set in the middle of the ocean. Here’s everything we know so far.

Nintendo Announces the Release Date of the Indigo Disk Expansion

The Indigo Disk Expansion Will Be Available From 14th December. This information was confirmed through the official Pokemon handle on X / Twitter.

As mentioned above, this expansion will take you to the Blueberry Academy as an exchange student who will soon get to know that most of the school is actually submerged underwater and it is not just an appealing trick. The game will have a huge emphasis on training you to come out on top during your battles, rather than making you go through all the traditional aspects of being a student.

You will also traverse through four different biomes, each of which features monsters not found in Generation IX so far. You will also have access to starter Pokemon from all regions.

Players will also get to witness a brand-new legendary Pokemon called Terapagos and a new evolution of Duraladon called Archadulon. You can also interact with Raging Bolt and Iron Crown.

Although this upcoming DLC sounds appealing, many players who purchased the previous Pokemon games are skeptical about the game’s performance and optimization as the previous titles have slowly been declining in quality, with some titles being an outright mess that are unable to play.

Even after Nintendo released a statement apologizing for the issues faced in the base game of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the technical problems still carried over to the Teal Mask DLC as well.

How to Obtain the Indigo Disk Expansion for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

Accessing the DLC requires you to purchase the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero expansion pass which will cost you USD $34.99 / ₹2,904(approx) / €32.84(approx). Players can purchase this directly from the Nintendo e-shop and it will contain both the Teal Mask and the Indigo Disk DLC.

Keep in mind that there are two different versions of this expansion pass; one for Scarlet and one for Violet. Make sure you purchase the same version as your base game.
