Blizzard’s new time-limited event, World of Warcraft: Plunderstorm, undoubtedly brings an exciting game mode for everyone to enjoy. The Plunderstorm event brings fans their very own version of a Battle Royale with World of Warcraft’s fun gameplay. Like any battle royale, players must upgrade their gear to ensure they survive till the end. One of the most essential things you must upgrade is your Spells. In this guide, we’ll reveal how you can easily upgrade your spells in WoW Plunderstorm and defeat your opponents with ease. 

WoW Plunderstorm: How Can You Get Spells?

In WoW Plunderstorm, you can obtain spells, abilities, and upgrades from lootable treasure chests and defeated opponents. When you pick these items, they’ll be automatically added to your action bar, with utility and offensive skills taking up two slots instead of a single one.

It’s quite easy to upgrade the spells you’ve unlocked in WoW Plunderstorm. All you need to do is acquire higher-quality versions or collect multiple versions of the spell you have unlocked. You can find Higher-quality chests across multiple locations on the map, which have much better odds of giving you high-quality spells. There are four spell rarity levels that you should be familiar with in the game - 

• Uncommon

• Common

• Rare 

• Epic

WoW developers who worked on Plunderstorm in a WoWCast video said that the upgraded abilities tend to spawn randomly, so you’ll have a chance of getting powerful Rare or Epic abilities early on in the match. Many of the spells found in WoW Plunderstorm are new and haven’t been designed with any specific class in mind. 

WoW Plunderstorm: How Can You Play?

With the 10.2.6 update, once you boot into World of Warcraft’s main menu, you’ll see the “Plunderstorm” icon. Clicking on it will allow you to access this Battle Royale mode. The World of Warcraft Plunderstorm is described as a “limited-time” event that started on March 19th, 2024. However, we still don’t have a specific end date for this event.
