The Revival Catalyst in World of Warcraft is one of the most crucial items to get your hands on if you participate in many endgame activities such as raids or Mythic+.
It's also beneficial for casual players; it increases the power of your characters. Here's everything you need to know about Revival Catalyst in World of Warcraft.

Undoubtedly, the Revival Catalyst is one of the most valuable items you can find in a World of Warcraft Dragonfight. The Catalyst allows you to convert gear pieces into tier set items, as long as you have a charge for the Catalyst available on the character you want to use it on. However, the Catalyst has undergone a few modifications, changing the method for obtaining it. In this article, we’ll reveal everything you need to know about Revival Catalyst, including how it works, methods to obtain it, and much more.

What is Revival Catalyst in World of Warcraft?

The Revival Catalyst is one of the most crucial items to obtain in WoW and allows you to convert non-set piece gear items and get a set piece of the same item level. However, it’s important to keep in mind that only head, chest, shoulder, hand, and leg items can be changed into tier set pieces that will provide you with bonuses. You will be able to convert the remaining items into transmog items such as cloaks, bracers, boots, and belts.

How Can You Find Revival Catalyst Charges in World of Warcraft?

It’s quite easy to get your hands on Revival Catalyst. Every character in the game will have a maximum limit of eight chargers for the item. An interesting change in Patch 10.2 allowed the Catalyst to be available in the first weeks of the season.

However, with the release of Seeds of Renewal Patch 10.2.5 on 16th January, the Revival Catalyst charges frequency has been increased back to 1 charge per week for the remainder of the complete season.

Which Gear Can Be Converted With Revival Catalyst?

Almost all of the gear you can obtain from PvP and PvE activities in Dragonflight can be transformed into a tier with the help of Revival Catalyst. That’s not all; mythic+ gear earned from Dungeons or Great Vault can also be converted into raid-relevant tier gear. You can also transform PvP gear purchased with Honor and Conquest points into tier gear.

Transforming your gear with this item will allow it to keep all of its original stats, sockets, and enhancements from the previous version. If you convert a piece of gear that already has an upgrade track, you’ll be able to upgrade the piece with Shadowflame and Flightstones after it’s transformed.

The only gear pieces you can’t change are the items that have been crafted and that you’ve earned through the Renown tracks of the main Dragonflight reputations.
