Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma 2 is all set to be released on 22nd March for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Several fans are excited to jump into the second entry after 12 long years since the release of the first game. As expected, the devs have made significant enhancements to the ARPG, mainly in terms of graphics and gameplay, thanks to the RE engine.
Besides that, Dragon’s Dogma 2 will feature a rich and enticing narrative, filled with numerous side characters who will aid you on your journey as an Arisen. Without further ado, here are all the notable NPCs you will encounter in the game.
All Known Side Characters in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Apart from your Pawns, you are sure to meet numerous NPCs in the huge immersive world of Dragon’s Dogma 2. Currently, there are 12 known side characters you will encounter as you progress through the game. These are:
Ulrika: Most likely the first character you will come across in the game. Ulrika is a leader of the Melve who nursed the Arisen back to health when a dragon attack wounded them.
Lennart: This swordsman is one of the longest-serving members of the fortress village of Melve, and has protected the land from dragon attacks, thanks to his exceptional swordsmanship. Although he’s retired, his skills show no sign of diminishing, which is why he’s the Fighter Maister.
Sigurd: This mystic Spearhand Maister is arguably one of the best in Vermund, thanks to his constant training that hones his unique skill sets. Although a quiet man, Sigurd is obsessed with hunting down dragons for unspecified personal reasons. He wanders the world in pursuit of these creatures, hoping to exterminate their entire kind one day.
Luz: One an Oracle of the Vermundian court, this Trickster Maister is currently in hiding out of fear for her life, as she had spoken against the false Arisen, who now holds the throne. You may run into her in the open world.
Brant: An honest and righteous man who is most concerned for the future of Vermund. He is the Captain of the Palace Guard, a position he was demoted to after opposing the Queen Regent. For the sake of the world, he gives his full cooperation to the Arisen.
Disa: The current Queen of Vermund after the death of her husband, King Sovran. She looks after the kingdom’s government but is scheming to make her son the next consul ruler. Although she is calm and collected, she seems to possess all the qualities of an antagonist, such as being arrogant and disrespectful towards others.
Sven: The beloved son of Queen Disa who contrary to his mother, believes in doing what is right and does not abide by the regent’s conspiracies. His princely charm and kindness are often mistaken for naivety.
Wilhelmina: A mysterious yet alluring woman who owns and manages the Rose Chateau, located in the middle of Vermund’s Capital. Besides her charm and open-mindedness, this intellectual woman possesses admirable qualities that are needed to tackle the guests of her Chateau, which mainly consists of many influential members of the nobility.
Nadinia: The leader and representative of the Beastren kingdom of Battahl. This educated lady is also the High Priestess to the Lambent Flame and has earned recognition and trust from her people, due to her noble desire for peace and prosperity across the entire nation.
Menella: The loyal subject and bodyguard of the High Priestess Nadinia and the leader of the guard of the Lambent Flame. Similar to Nadinia, this Beastern guard also believes in equality among races and strives to follow it herself.
Glyndwr: A young Elven guard who is friendly towards other races, a trait that most Elves do not possess. Although his lack of archery skills is evident, Glyndwr is affluent in human languages and is most curious about the various tools they use.
Doireann: An elegant young woman who is also welcoming to people of other races. She is the sister of Glyndwr who resides with the Elven tribe in the depths of Vermund’s forests. Thanks to her brother, she can also understand a few human words.
