How to Get Animal Familiars in Hades 2
To obtain an Animal Familiar in Hades 2, you need Familiar treats, which are used to tame and upgrade the Familiars. The first step is to unlock the Faith of Familiar Spirits incantation, which is done by progressing in the game and encountering Headmistress Hecate, who will introduce you to the concept of Animal Familiars.
Ingredients for Familiar Treats:
Nectar (Two for the initial treat, and one for subsequent treats)
Lotus (One for the initial treat, and two for subsequent treats)
S-Dust (One for the Beast-Loved Morsel)
Where to get Familiar Treats: Once you have unlocked the Faith of Familiar Spirits incantation, you can create the Witch's Delight, the treat needed to tame your first companion. To create more treats, you can use the Alchemy system with the following recipe:

Frinos the Frog: Frinos is the first Animal Familiar you'll encounter. He can be found in the hub zone where you teleport after a run ends. Giving him a Witch's Delight will make him your companion. Frinos provides the following buffs:

After taking a Familiar on a run and returning to the Crossroads, you can upgrade their skills using Witch's Delights. Each skill can be upgraded up to three ranks, with different effects for each rank.
