GTA 6 Fan Decides to Quit Smoking So He Can Live to Play Rockstar's Most Awaited Game
It's inevitable that the day Grand Theft Auto 6 releases, it will break all records known to gamers, as it's one of the most hyped titles of all time. However, there are people out there who are going to great lengths to play it, including quitting cigarettes.
For years, Rockstar Games was ultra silent about the next game in the GTA franchise. They didn't bother engaging in any kind of rumors or speculations or even spelled out some small information. However, that changed completely as the studio has confirmed that we'll get the first look at GTA 6 in early December. As the hype continues to grow, some fans plan to change their lives so they're still around to play the game.
GTA 6 Hype Leads to a Fan Quitting Smoking
It's been a decade since we've been waiting for a brand-new GTA Game, and that wait is going to drag a bit longer, it seems. So, some fans have decided to give up on smoking to make sure they're alive to see GTA 6's release.
A GTA 6 fan on Reddit claims that he's quit smoking due to the impending release of the Grand Theft Auto sequel. He does not want to suffer from any cigarette-related diseases or miss out on playing the new Rockstar Games title at release because he's locked up in hospital due to something which he could've prevented.
The Reddit user said, "I've been a fairly heavy smoker for a while now. Lately I've been coughing a lot more and just feeling like shit from the cigarettes but addiction is a hell of a thing. I'm so hyped for GTA 6 that the thought of being in hospital or on heavy medication as the result of cigarettes has got me to quit cold turkey. I will not miss out on this game and want to be in my best possible health for it. Today is 10 days free. Thanks, Rockstar!"
Lots of other players jumped in to congratulate the Redditor and even share similar stories. Some fans were blown away by how a game, which isn't even close to launch yet, brings out such big life changes.
Linking the love for gaming with the will to stay healthy is, of course, a good one, and if it means one more person quits smoking, then it's a fantastic result to celebrate! We hope that the Redditor keeps up the momentum and enjoys GTA 6's trailer release in early December.
