Gamescom Day 2 kept the momentum alive by showcasing an array of new releases as well as updates for popular game titles.
STALKER 2, Wayfinder, and Project Mugen were some of the main highlights for the Day 2 event.

Gamescom 2023 has given us tons of new releases to get excited about as well as showcasing updates to the games we have grown to love. The event has continued to keep the flame alive as it stepped into its second day. We got to see trailers and gameplays of highly anticipated games like STALKER 2, The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, and more. Let’s dive right in and take a look at the highlights of day two.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl Will Hit the Shelves by Q1 2024

This survival horror FPS made by Ukrainian game developer GSC Game World is finally uncovered after a decade since it was first announced all the way back in 2012. We saw an official trailer for the game which is now powered by Unreal Engine 5. STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl is expected to go live in Q1 of 2024 for the Xbox Series X / S and PC.

RoboCop Rogue City Showcases Sixteen Minutes of Gameplay

After revealing the trailer for the game on day one, developer Teyon demonstrated the gameplay featuring the city of Detroit in all its dystopian glory. This first-person shooter puts you in the shoes of Robocop as he breaches his way through enemies making you feel like an absolute super cop. The game also delves into the human side of Robocop making for a compelling storyline.

Wayfinder Hits Early Access

This MMORPG developed by Airship Syndicate has been made available as an early access title for PlayStation and PC. At Gamescom, the studio released a sneak peek trailer that gave us a glimpse of the gameplay and lore of the game. It combines elements from games like Destiny 2 and LOL to provide an exhilarating MMO experience.

Project Mugen is Open For Pre-registrations

At Gamescom, NetEase Games and Naked Rain Studios showcased the reveal trailer for Project Mugen. This urban open-world RPG seems to combine Cyberpunk aesthetics with gameplay and gacha elements present in popular titles like Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, and more. Pre-registrations for this free-to-play game title have already begun.

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria Gets a Release Date

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is an upcoming survival-crafting game developed by Free Range Games takes place in the fictional world of Middle-earth made by J.R.R Tolkien. The game follows the adventures of a group of dwarfs as they try to retake their homeland of Moria. At Gamescom, publisher North Beach Games announced that the game will be available on 24th October for PlayStation and PC, with the Xbox Series X/S version arriving by Q2 of 2024.
