The Wuthering Waves Echo system is a unique and integral part of the game's combat mechanics. Echoes are holographic remnants of defeated enemies that Resonators can equip to enhance their abilities, similar to the Artifact system in Genshin Impact or the Relic system in Honkai Star Rail. Here's a detailed guide on how the Echo system works in Wuthering Waves.

What Are Echoes in Wuthering Waves?

Echoes are holographic remnants of defeated enemies that can be equipped by Resonators in Wuthering Waves. Each Echo provides a variety of stat boosts, including HP, Attack, and Energy Regeneration, and grants a unique Echo ability to the Resonator.

How to Get Echoes?

Echoes can be captured from enemies in the overworld or by farming specific Echo domains. Here are the main ways to obtain Echoes:

  1. Overworld Enemies: Defeating normal enemies can yield Echoes, with the drop rates resetting daily.

  2. Bosses: Boss enemies drop higher-tier Echoes, respawning every five minutes. The first five defeats have an increased drop chance.

  3. Echo Domains: These specialized areas allow targeted farming of Echoes but require stamina.

Echo Classes and Stats

Echoes are divided into four classes: Common (1 Cost), Elite (3 Cost), Overlord (4 Cost), and Calamity (4 Cost). Each class has different primary and secondary main stats, as well as different costs. Players can equip multiple Echoes, but each Resonator has a cost limit and can only equip Echoes up to that limit.

Echo Abilities and Set Effects

In addition to stat boosts, each Echo has an active ability that can be used in battle. Equipping Echoes of the same element can unlock set effects, providing additional bonuses. Set effects can significantly impact gameplay, so players should consider them when building their teams.

Upgrading Echoes

Echoes can be leveled up to increase their base stats. Tuning is another mechanic that allows players to unlock sub-stats for Echoes, enhancing their effectiveness. Sub-stats play a crucial role in strengthening Resonators, so players should focus on tuning Echoes that complement their team composition.
