Highlights
The Fortnite and Lego crossover event might possibly bring significant changes to the game in terms of new mechanics, a dedicated game mode, and a new creative 2.0 map.
This collaboration event is expected to go live on 7th December 2023
Players will supposedly be able to run around the map as actual Lego characters and also use aptly themed Lego emotes.

Epic Games has partnered up with the popular toy manufacturer Lego to bring one of the biggest crossovers to Fortnite. Although the studio is not shy about such collaborations and has done numerous crossovers with other big-name brands and celebrities in the past, bringing Lego to the game will supposedly bring more to the table than just in-game objectives and cosmetic changes. In speculation of this upcoming event, there are numerous rumors floating around online, most of which indicate a new creative mode where you will be able to play as an actual Lego character. Without further ado, let’s delve into everything we know so far.

Fortnite X Lego Collaboration

According to numerous leakers and data miners, the game developer and Lego have been working on bringing a creative 2.0 map of sorts ahead of all official announcements. Well-known leaker and Epic Partner Hypex posted on X stating that the two brands are working on a unique mode supposedly called “Adventures” which aims to bring Lego NPCs, bosses, custom UI, and other Lego models to the game.

As a follow-up to this, we also got to see a list of everything that has seemingly been leaked and could potentially make its way to the final game. We also have a release date of 7th December which seems plausible considering that it is well after the Big Bang event which many are expecting to bring drastic changes to Fortnite’s gameplay.

Here are all the leaked items, mechanics and other changes supposedly making their way to Epic’s battle royale:

  • You play as an actual Lego Character

  • You will see items such as LEGO Stud Gun, Workbenches, Beds, Fences, Catapults, Prankster Catapults, Map Markers, Ziplines, and Trinkets make their way to the game.

  • You can mine props and ores around the map and build stuff with a Building tool that has 9 slots

  • There will be an "HP System" & "Energy System"

  • There will be Beds with Curtains that you sleep on to regen HP & Energy, and "Sleep Voting" if there are players with you

  • There will be "Vendors" that sell items, "Camps" to sleep at, and "Enemies" to fight

  • There will be "Crafting", and an Inventory

  • Emotions/Reactions: Sad, Surprised, Worried, Excited, Disgusted, Bored, Angry, Afraid, Laughing (Default, Subdued & Extreme),  Greeting (Default, Bored, Excited), Give Item, Take Item, Disagreement, Celebrating, Admiring

  • Apart from this, you will also have access to a “Minifig” version of most existing emotes.

  • Movement: Sliding, Swimming, Gliding, Flying, Running, Walking, Falling with Fall Damage.

All of these hint towards more comprehensive change to Fortnite as there have not been many collaborations before that brought an array of changes such as these. Although these additions are most welcomed by many, it is important to remember that these are just leaks and rumors and they have not been officially confirmed by Epic Games or Lego, so please take it with a grain of salt.
