Starting the Quest: Echoes Of The Past
Your journey into Echoes of the Past begins after completing the Rook Meets King quest. Delgado, the leader of the Crimson Fleet, sends you to the icy wasteland of Suvorov to dig up information about Jasper Kryx's Legacy, the enigmatic founder of the Crimson Fleet.
Upon arriving at Suvorov, Delgado will brief you on the mission's objectives, emphasizing the importance of uncovering Kryx's Legacy while disregarding all else.
Navigating the Lock
Suvorov's Lock is infested with Grylloba, a burrowing alien species. Armed with your crew, your primary goal is to ensure Delgado safely reaches the Lock's entrance. Grylloba are numerous and can be formidable, so be prepared for intense combat.
We recommend using melee weapons to conserve ammo as Grylloba tend to swarm. Keep a watchful eye on Delgado's health; he won't die if incapacitated but will be temporarily out of action.

Mathis and His Plan
As you progress through the Lock, you'll encounter Mathis, an ambitious crew member with grandiose schemes. Mathis proposes a treacherous plan involving the assassination of Delgado and securing Kryx's Legacy for personal gain. You have the option to accept or reject this proposition, but trust in Mathis is a precarious gamble.
Inside the Lock, you'll encounter continuous Grylloba attacks. Use this opportunity to complete weapon challenges and stock up on ammo and supplies as you explore further. Delgado will instruct you to proceed to the Control Room with Mathis, where you'll be tasked with unlocking doors to allow passage through the Lock.
Unlocking Doors and Seeking Clues
In the Control Room, you'll interact with Delgado via an intercom, and he'll request that you unlock doors for the crew. Suspicion lingers around Mathis, which can lead to questionable decisions.
Head to the nearby console and override lockdown to facilitate Delgado's progress. Explore emails to gather valuable information about Kryx. Delve deeper into the Lock, restoring auxiliary power to Cell Block D as instructed by Delgado.

Cell Block D's Guard Tower and Hidden Cache (Optional)
Your next destination is Cell Block D's guard tower, where you're likely to discover clues regarding Kryx's Legacy. While en route, loot cells for ammo and medical supplies. Upon reaching the guard tower, Mathis may renew his proposal to eliminate Delgado.
Interact with the terminal to uncover Kryx's cell location. If you choose to open a hidden cache in Cell Block 2, you'll find a wealth of loot, including ammo, Digipicks, and weapons.
Uncovering Kryx's Legacy
Follow your HUD marker to Kryx's cell, which should already be open. Despite the empty cell, an inconspicuous lamp hides a valuable audio log that unravels Kryx's plan. Continue to follow Kryx's trail, searching Carter's locker in the shower room for another crucial audio log.
Finding the Escape Tunnel
Your mission takes you to Kryx's escape tunnel, hidden behind a loose wall. Venture through this tunnel, looting an almost-empty armory along the way, as Mathis uncovers a unique weapon.
Now, proceed to the Shuttle Bay to secure your escape. Beware of Grylloba encounters in tight corridors. The deceased inmates and guards offer an abundance of resources in the form of ammo and meds.

Warden's Office
Upon reaching the Warden's Office, communicate with Delgado through an intercom. You'll learn that the Grylloba overwhelmed the crew, leaving Delgado as the sole survivor. Provide Delgado with information regarding Kryx's Legacy and make choices that will impact Mathis' fate within the Crimson Fleet.
Confrontation with the Alien Queen
Before escaping, you must confront a formidable adversary, the Juvenile Grylloba Queen, along with her swarm. Exercise caution, as the Queen can deal massive damage, posing a severe threat. Utilize your most powerful weapons to defeat her, maintaining a safe distance and evading her attacks when she burrows.
With the Queen vanquished, you can board the shuttle, gaining access to a new ship with an extensive cargo bay.
Rendezvous on the Key
Return to the Key and report to Delgado, who rewards your efforts with the Keelhauler, a legendary pistol. Depending on your previous choices regarding Mathis, he may be found in the Key's bar, nursing vengeance or remorse.
