As players have started progressing in Baldur’s Gate 3, they are slowly moving towards the second act of the game. Here, players will delve into the treacherous expanse of the Shadow Cursed Lands. It is renowned as one of the most arduous terrains to surpass in the entire game.
To pass through the region safely and avoid the Shadow Curse, players must obtain a Moon Lantern. There are a number of ways in which players can obtain it. However, the one obtained from a goblin might be broken, and will not be useful. Complete ones can be found in Kethertic Thorn’s castle or obtained from Kar’niss during a quest outside the Last Light Inn.
How to Find a Complete Moon Lantern?
One way to reach the Moonrise Towers is through Underdark to find a complete Moon Lantern. While completing the Harper Branthos side quest outside the Last Light Inn, players can communicate with Jaheira and help her with an ambush set against Kar’niss. While doing this side quest with her, players will come across enemies with complete Moon Lanterns.
Now, they can either obtain the complete one by convincing Kar’niss, using force, or players will need to kill off these enemies and gain the Moon Lantern. Either way, players will obtain a complete Moon Lantern which will make their upcoming journey easier.
Fixing The Broken Moon Lantern
The other way is to find the broken Moon Lantern and fix it. One way to do this is to travel through the Underdark, which resides underneath the Goblin Camp. Players can obtain it after they slay a goblin. However, since it's broken, it may not be of much use.
As players move forward in Act 2, they will find that the Lantern is actually powered by the pixies trapped inside. Players will be prompted to release the trapped pixie inside. And as a thank you gift, she will bless them by providing immunity against curses.
If the player is an evil character, they can also make the choice to imprison the pixie again, or go out on a limb and kill it off.
