After nearly three years of early access to Baldur’s Gate 3, the game is now ready to hit all gaming platforms in August, 2023. Developed by Larian Studios, Baldur’s Gate 3 is the much anticipated continuation of this beloved role-playing game (RPG) series. With the countdown officially in motion, fans eagerly await the arrival of this adventurous, party-based RPG.
The last game, Baldur’s Gate 2 was released nearly a decade ago, in 2012. It seems like Larian Studios is making up for lost time through its intricately crafted fantasy world that features a variety of abilities, skills and immersive storylines. Badlur’s Gate 3 marks a slight deviation from the other two versions as it is based on the fifth edition ruleset for Dragons and Dungeons.
Baldur’s Gate 3 will first be accessible on PCs, eventually making their way to the PlayStation 5 and later, an Xbox version.
Baldur’s Gate 3: What to Expect?
Taking place in the Forgotten Realms, this upcoming, next-generation role playing game is based on the world of Dragon and Dungeons. From the creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2, the mystic world of Baldur’s Gate 3 offers a tale of betrayal, fellowship, survival and absolute power.
Due to the timezone turbulence, the game will release for some on 3rd August, and for others on 4th August. Thanks to Baldur’s Gate 3’s social media team, we know that the game will have a subsequent global release.

Availability on PlayStation and Xbox
PC players will be able to access the game on 3rd August, 2023, and 4th August, 2023 for others. However, console players will have to wait a little longer before they can enjoy the game. It is speculated that the game will be available only on PlayStation 5 a month after the global PC release of Baldur’s Gate 3, leaving PlayStation 4 players in the dark.
Xbox players, however, will have to wait a lot longer before they can access the game. And again, the game will only be available on the Xbox Series X|S, and not the Xbox One. A lot is not known about the release date for the Xbox, but it is speculated that it is in the works.
