The latest addition to Apex Legends' roster of characters has been unveiled, and it's none other than Conduit. The legend has been leaked numerous times, but no one knew when she would debut in the game until yesterday. Respawn Entertainment dropped a new Stories from the Outlands video highlighting her backstory. More details about her kit and the upcoming Season 19 update will be available soon but here’s what we know about Apex Legends’ newest legend Conduit so far.

Apex Legends’ Season 18: Conduit’s Abilities

Conduit’s abilities have not been officially revealed but there are leaks that have been doing the rounds which give us a sneak peek into her kit.

  • Tactical: Arc Flash: Deals damage to Conduit’s shields to give targeted allies an overshield.

  • Passive: Capacitance: Conduit’s base health is 50 health and 50 shield, instead of 100 health. Conduit gradually regenerates shield over time.

  • Ultimate: Short Circuit: Conduit channels their shields into a giant arc ball that flies across the battlefield, stealing shields from enemies.

Conduit’s Backstory in Apex Legends

Conduit's backstory traces back to her childhood during the Frontier War when a Monarch Titan piloted by a fellow Filipino saved her and her home, sacrificing themselves in a detonation that took out their enemies but radiated the area. Growing up, Conduit and her family became avid fans of the Apex Games, watching matches and even staging mock battles at home. However, financial troubles hit when her sister got injured at work.

Inspired by the Monarch's sacrifice, Conduit journeyed back to the radiation site, willingly touching the unstable Titan battery, gaining extraordinary powers but sacrificing her future health. She now participates in the Apex Games to provide for her family. Leaks suggest that her real name is Rowenna, she's 27 years old, and her outfit features blue and yellow colors with armor derived from a Titan. Her personality is a mix of Lifeline, Rampart, and Horizon, and she's a Seer fan while watching the Apex Games.

Although Conduit is the first legend from the Philippines, the Titanfall universe previously featured Tai Lastimosa as the sole known Filipino character, potentially connected to Conduit's family as an ancestor or family friend.
