The FIFA franchise was just rebranded into EA Sports FC 24 and it is already expanding its horizon by way of a new turn-based strategy game. Electronic Arts (EA), in a recent press release, announced this new tactical and strategy-based EA Sports game called EA SPORTS FC Tactical. Players need not confuse this mobile game with that of EA Sports FC Mobile, which was a free upgrade to FIFA Mobile.
The publisher announced that this groundbreaking game will pave a new way to play sports games on mobile devices. This EA Sports game is set to launch in early 2024.
EA Sports Tactical will feature a set 5,000 authentic players hailing from more than ten leagues including La Liga, Premier League, Bundesliga, and Serie A. EA Sports Tactical’s objective is to provide an all-expansive tactical approach to football that not only harvests an understanding of the game but also keeps the players on the edge of their seats.
EA Sports FC Tactical’s Gameplay
Electronic Arts Sports FC Tactical will offer a significant departure from traditional football games and introduce interactive simulation with strategic gameplay.
EA wrote, “Matches are simulated, with turn-based opportunities to defend, attack, perform skill moves, and make attempts on target, resulting in authentic football action like never before.”
At the core of the game lie fundamentals in-game strategies like stamina, energy, and power-play management. There is a lot you can do on the field - defend, attack, shoot your targets, and show off your skill moves.
EA Sports FC Tactical will include many playable modes, ranging from online, friendly matches to intense online competitions, including Rank matches, Leagues, and Guilds. “Train players to master high-skill moves, unlock perfect traits for deeper progression, and customize your team with various items like stadium designs, kits, and balls,” said EA in its press release.
Introducing the game, EA Sports FC Senior VP and GM Nick Wlodyka said, “We’re excited to welcome fans of turn-based strategy games to join the club as part of the EA SPORTS FC player.”
Since the game is turn-based, all players will receive an equal opportunity to attack, defend, and exhibit moves against their opponents.
EA Sports FC Tactical Release Date
While the actual release date for the game has not been revealed yet, what we do know is that it is coming in early 2024. Players can download EA Sports FC Tactical on both Android devices and iOS devices via Play Store and App Store, respectively.
Notably, EA Sports FC Tactical is currently open for pre-registration. Players can pre-register for the game on both Android’s Google Play Store and iOS’ Apple Store.
