In The Finals open beta, players can immerse themselves in three distinct game modes, each offering a different flavor of gameplay
As the open beta progresses, it's possible that more game modes will be added or existing ones may receive refinements.

Embark Studios' much-anticipated first-person shooter, The Finals, is currently in its open beta phase, allowing players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC to experience an exciting blend of intense FPS action and diverse game modes. With the beta underway, it's a great time to explore the various game modes available in The Finals.

Game Modes in The Finals Open Beta

The Finals is not your typical shooter, as it steers away from the usual Team Deathmatch and Domination modes that gamers have seen countless times before. Instead, it introduces a range of extraction-styled game modes that offer a refreshing change of pace and challenges for both competitive and non-competitive players.

The Finals open beta showcases the game's signature feature: map destruction. Players can dynamically alter and destroy the virtual arenas, inspired by real-life locations, in their quest for victory. This feature introduces an entirely new level of strategy and engagement to the FPS genre, making The Finals a standout title in the gaming world.

In the beta version of The Finals, you'll have the chance to engage in three distinctive game modes, each with its unique twist on the core gameplay:

1. Tournament (Cashout):

  • In this mode, players can choose between Ranked and Unranked Tournaments. While the gameplay is essentially the same, the ranked version introduces a system that tracks your performance, so your wins and losses will influence your rank.

  • The game mode consists of four teams of three players each. The goal for each team is to locate cashboxes and deposit the funds they contain into vaults strategically placed throughout the map.

2. Quick Cash:

  • Quick Cash offers a faster-paced experience by reducing the number of squads to three, making it a 3v3v3 mode.

  • Players will enjoy quicker respawns and extraction times, making it a more laid-back variation of the Unranked Tournament mode.

3. Bank It:

  • In this mode, four teams of three players each engage in a coin-collecting frenzy. The objective is to collect as many coins as possible.

  • The game ends when one of the teams reaches the maximum number of coins or when one team has the most coins at the end of the round.

While these are the game modes currently available in the beta version of The Finals, it's worth noting that the game is still in development, and we can expect to see more game modes and refinements added in future updates. As The Finals continues to evolve, players can look forward to an ever-expanding and immersive gaming experience.

The open beta for The Finals is available for free on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, and it runs until 5th November. To sweeten the deal, players are offered a free battle pass, containing 16 unlockable awards that can be retained at the game's full launch.
