Highlights
FIFA is being rebranded to the name “EA Sports FC 24” and we have an unofficial release date according to leaks.
FIFA 24 aka EA sports FC 24 will have a one-week early access if you purchase the Ultimate Edition of the game.

Due to licensing issues, there will be no more FIFA titles by Electronic Arts. But it does not mean that your daily dose of soccer action will no longer be available. EA is rebranding FIFA to EA Esports FC and it is likely to have the same features and game modes we have been used to for years, so expect things like Ultimate Team to stick around. If you are wondering when EA Sports FC 2024 (FIFA 24) drops, here's what you need to know.

EA Sports FC 2024 / FIFA 24 will release on 29th September

According to reliable leaker and dataminer billbil-kun, the release date for EA Sports FC 2024 is 29th September. This should not come as a surprise as EA has historically released its soccer titles during the late-September to early-October mark.

According to the leaker, the game will be available for purchase in Standard and Ultimate Editions. If you purchase the Ultimate Edition of the game, you will get a one-week early access. So if you are willing to spend some extra cash, you should be able to start playing on 22nd September.

FIFA 23's launch on PC was marred by various error codes and anti-cheat crashes so fans will be hoping for a smoother launch this year. If you have a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, there's some good news for you as it looks like EA wants to publish the game for the older generation consoles as well.

Why is FIFA 24 changing to EA Sports FC 2024?

FIFA (the soccer association) issued a statement last year revealing that it will no longer be offering licensing rights to EA moving forward. The video game publisher and the soccer association were unable to negotiate a deal for the video game franchise which is why we will no longer get FIFA titles from EA.

How this affects the game is yet to be seen and we have to wait for EA's official reveal to know more about the future of its soccer games. While the game modes and gameplay is unlikely to see changes, we can expect branding of teams and player names to be affected.
