Nightmare Sigil Affixes and Why Players Hate the Suppressor Affix in Diablo 4

Nightmare Dungeons are Diablo 4's version of Greater Rifts, Diablo 3's very successful Loot and Challenge loop. They are the best source of character Experience right now which players need to get Paragon points. They are also the sole means to advance the levels of your Paragon Glyphs. However, you'll need a consistent supply of Nightmare Sigils to run this content.

Nightmare Sigil Affixes and Tier Explained

Nightmare Sigils contain four extra traits that distinguish them from conventional dungeons, in addition to causing dungeons to generate a far higher density of Elites.

Sigil Tiers

The first is the presence of a Tier, which modifies the dungeon's difficulty within the World Tier. Tier 1 is the easiest of the 100 available levels.

Nightmare Sigils dropped by monsters and chests will have a randomly rolled tier according to your character level, however, manufactured Sigils will allow you to determine the Tier. The higher the Tier of the Sigil, the more difficult the dungeon will be. As is customary in these games, harder dungeons yield more loot, so run the highest challenging tier you can handle.

Sigil Affixes

The number of affixes on a Sigil is determined by its tier. The higher the tier, the more modifiers a Sigil contains. Focus on running Nightmare Dungeons with negative affixes that your build can handle.

There are thirty known Affixes that can be rolled on a Nightmare Sigil, and these are always random. You should expect each Sigil to have two Negative and one Positive Affix.

What is the Suppressor Affix in Diablo 4?

Elite foes are given a large purple shield that covers them like a dome when they have the Suppressor Affix applied to them. This purple bubble deflects all ranged assaults. So, if you want to deal any damage, you must be right on top of the Elite in Diablo 4. These foes can be a nightmare for any player who is on a Ranged build.

The Suppressor Affix, unlike some of the other Affixes in Diablo 4, does not have a timer. That implies that if an Elite enemy has a massive purple bubble surrounding them, there is no waiting for it to go. Your only choice is to initiate a fight in close quarters and dish out as much damage as possible before the enemies surround you. 

Another option is to read your Nightmare Sigil Affixes and simply avoid taking on the Suppressor Affix-based dungeons, which is what the majority of the players have been doing as the Suppressor Affix is simply too annoying and not worth the time you’ll spend malding on it.
