The enticing realm of Sanctuary offers numerous items for players to buff up their character and enhance their builds. These in-game items have varying rarity such as Common, Magic, Rare, Legendary, and Unique. While most of these rarities are relatively easy to find, the game also contains Uber Unique loot that can be extremely hard to acquire. These items offer significant buffs to your builds and have a high chance of dropping only in the Torment difficulty. Let’s cut to the chase and figure out the most effective ways to farm them.
Best Uber Unique Farming Method in Diablo 4
As mentioned above, Uber Uniques are the most rarest and powerful items in Diablo 4 and their status effects can significantly enhance your build. However, obtaining them can be quite a challenge, as they are found only in World Tier 4 or Torment difficulty.
The most definitive way of obtaining Uber Uniques is through defeating World Bosses scattered across Sanctuary. These bosses pose a formidable threat and are capable of taking you down easily, and hence, we recommend you reach at least level 85 and above so that you will have a fair fight and be better equipped to deal with these foes.
While several end-game bosses will drop Uniques, Uber Uniques can only be received from the Lord of Pain, Uber Duriel. However, summoning him will require certain materials such as:
2 Mucus-Slick Eggs
2 Shards of Agony
Obtaining Mucus-Slick Eggs requires you to defeat the Echo of Varshan in World Tier 4. This is a level 75 boss who can be found inside the Malignant Burrow next to the Tree of Whispers. However, there are prerequisites to summon this boss as well. These are:
X1 Gurgling Head
X1 Blackened Femur
X1 Trembling Hand
X1 Malignant Heart
Malignant Heart can be obtained as drops from World Tier 4 Whisper Caches. All you need to do is complete 10 Whisper of the Dead objectives. The Gurgling Head, Blackened Femur, and Trembling Hand can also be acquired by killing Grotesque Debtors while you are working your way through the Whisper of the Dead quests. The most efficient way to do this would be to take advantage of the various Arcane Tremor regions scattered across the map.
Once you’ve obtained the Mucus-Slick eggs from the Echo of Varshan, you need to face The Galvanic Saint Grigoire. This is also a level 75 boss who can be summoned for 5 Living Steel and can be found inside the Hall of Penitent in Dry Steppes located to the south of Ked Bardu.
To acquire Living Steel, you need to open Tortured Gifts of Living Steel Chests, found during Helltide events. These chests require 300 Cinders to open and only two of them are active at the same time. While World Tier 3 difficulty will only drop two Living Steel items from each chest, World Tier 4 will grant you five such items.
Once you’ve acquired all the necessary materials, head to the south of Kehjistan and travel to the Gaping Crevasse Dungeon where you need to interact with an Altar to summon the King of Maggots. Duriel is a level 100 boss and defeating him can be quite an ordeal considering that he is one of the toughest foes in the game. Apart from having an optimized build with reasonably level Glyphs, you will also need good gear to stand a chance against him. His stacks of poison can quickly drain your health pool so make sure to carry an abundance of poison resistance elixirs.
It always helps to team up with a party as this will not only make the fight easier but also increase the chances of Uber Unique drops for each player. Upon successfully defeating Duriel, you will have the chance to obtain rewards such as:
