Overwatch 2 Season 9 is just a week away from release and will be bringing with it a slew of changes including tank and damage heroes getting the ability to self heal, changes to how competitive matches work, jade tier weapon skins, and a new battle pass.

Now, the only question that remains to be answered is when does Overwatch 2 Season 9 start? How much time will the players get to enjoy all its features and complete the new battle pass that comes along?

The players had a ball of a time during Overwatch 2 Season 8 which was released on 5^th December which brought along the hyped tank hero Mauga along with a new battle pass mechanic that enables players to get any Mythic Skin of their choice.

While most players had already play-tested Mauga ahead of release, the ability to choose a Mythic Skin after having completed the battle pass was a home run.

It not only allowed players to get their hands on the skin they adored and of a hero they were more likely to play with, but also encouraged more players to purchase the seasonal battle pass which now offered something extra.
